Emergency Exit

One morning as I was sleeping soundly I feel a sudden shake upon myself, "Y/n! Y/n! Wake up!" A familiar voice startles me into awakening. I sit up, "huh-what?" I grumble sleepily, and look at my best friend Amata who looks as if she's been scared straight. "Y/n you HAVE to get up! Its your dad, he's gone. I'm sorry but I think you'll have to follow him." she says quickly. "How can my dad be gone? he couldn't have gone far Amata, now let me sleep." I say starting lay back down, "But he DID! He left the vault!"

Now I'm up. "What? How? The vault hasn't been opened in YEARS!" "I dont know, but my dad's gone crazy! He's looking for you too! He thinks that your in on this, your gonna have to follow your dad if you want to live," Amata's eyes tear up "They killed Jonas too..." She wanted to cry but kept a strong look. "Im sorry Amata. Are you ok?" I get up and put a hand on her shoulder. She looks at me and nods "Yeah Im ok, but you still need to leave. Here, I took my fathers gun and some ammo your going to need it against my fathers goons." I nod and thank her as she runs off. I look around my room and take whatever I think would be useful, Health and a BB gun with ammo. I take a good look around my room one last time and run out the door and down the hall sneaking past a guard killing Radroaches.

"Somebody help! Please help its my mom! Please..." A man named Butch called called after me rushing.
He came up to me scared to hell.
"Please you gotta help me it my mom. She's surrounded by Radroaches!"
"Butch is asking ME for help? That's suprising." i said mockingly
"Yeah whatever, but please its my mother.... Please... Im sorry for what ive done just you gotta help me!"
He was shaking and about to cry too.
"Alright fine. but you owe me BIG time..." i fold my arms across my chest.
"Ok anything! Just get my mom out!"
I ran towards his mothers dorm and killed the surrounding roaches. She thanks me and goes to sit down on her couch. Butch comes up to me and hugs me greatly. "Thank you, thank you! Your the best! I was for sure thinking i was gonna lose her..."
"You're welcome?" i was confused, he never hugged me before, we always fought over things even when we were kids we hated each other.
"Look im sorry for everything, but take my jacket. Your an official Tunnel snake. Thank you," He leans in and kisses my cheek. "You always had a soft heart..." he walks off and sits next to his mom and hugs her gently, i myself blush slightly and wave goodbye and walk off.

After finally sneaking past and killing guards i was faced with a window and inside was Amata being interrogated by her own father forcefully. I rush in and kill the leading guard. Pointing a gun towards the overseer "Password. Now..." I say angrily.

"Well ain't you a little brat? Taunting me to give you my password? Now tell me.... Why should I?" he says while putting both hands in the air smirking. "Give me the password now or i'll hurt Amata..." pointing the gun closer towards his head. "Well you can be a little shit can't you.... Fine. Here." He hands me a small piece of paper with the words Amata written. I lower the gun and walk away across the hall to the next room. In the next room I find Jonas's lifeless corpse on the floor that was beaten to death. I search has body and take has jacket in memory of him along with a note my father left him for me to find. Afterwards I proceeded to headed to the main vault door through the overseers office. After the vault door opens Amata says goodbye and we part ways. Before actually leaving I take a deep breath and walk out the door. When I step out i am slightly blinded by the bright light of the sun

I couldn't believe it, im finally outside the vault. I guess old endings make a new chapter, now im free. I look around and in the distance i see a tall metal wall, as i walked i realized of how big it was. It was a city with a sign that had lettering naming it 'Magaton' i found the name quite unusual but proceeded and came accross a robot near the front gate entry.

"Welcome too megaton, we ensure you that the bomb it safe. Have a nice day..." and it repeats.

Thinking of what the hell the robot it talking about and went inside. I enter and was then greeted by a man named Lucas Simms I was a bit concerned because he had the looks of a 'wanna be cowboy sheriff' so i had let it slide for the time being.

"Well i'll be, another new comer," he said with a welcoming curious smile. "Names Lucas, town mayor and sherrif when the need arises."

"Nice, to meet you Lucas. Im Y/n," i greeted back. "Say umm... You dont happen to have seen a middle aged guy around that looks like me have you?" i asked hoping.

"Well now that you've mentioned it i have. He went to see Moriarty in the saloon."

I broke out with a smile, and thanked him goodbye. As i walked away i noticed what the robot was talking about. Right there in the center of this town there was a giant bomb that could have weighed a Mega-Ton!

I turned quickly towards Lucas Simms whith knowing of what was needed to be done.

"I want to talk to you about the Bomb." i said in concern.

"What about it? It ain't dangerous, altho its still armed. I dont like for people to get to close just incase."

"Maybe i could disarm it?" i said slowly shrinking down with a concerned look.

"If you could that would be a life saver, tell you what. 100 caps for you to to fix it." he said.

I didnt know what he ment by 'caps' so i assumed that it was currency around here and agreed.

I edged closer to the bomb and opened the panel to the main wires. I guess working with jonas over the years is finally paying off. With half and hour gone by i disarm the bomb with a smile and great confidence in myself. I head back over to Lucas and told him the good news. "Well all-be damned, you actually did it. Heres your pay, and hell why dont you just move in. We need more people like you." he hands me the caps and i put them in my pocket for later, then proceeded to Moriarty's saloon practically pouncing with anticipation.
