The Mental Trap

The Battlefield

   Pete just like many others is now entering a battle and just like many others he is starting off good. No monsters and protective armor.

   As time goes on after years he will face a monster not bad just like a little annoying little creature. It may even be cute. Although after a few troubling weeks it becomes scarer. Now at this moment little Pete may be scared but not bad enough to bother others about it.

   Time goes on this one monster turns into a two headed monster keeping him form getting other things done. Now instead of taking a few minutes out of his day this fight is being to consume all his time. He finally decided after losing his armor it's time for back up.

   He now has a "heads up" in this battle now carrying a large sword. This does help but is definitely not a complete finish. He receives a shileld to small to help. After going through many changes it's finally right but none of it is as affective after a few months. So now everyday he enters with two swords. Two very different swords but both very heavy and draining.

   This goes on for quite a while every year getting more sometimes useless weapons. Now he faces three very different very scary monsters with very different tactics. Although Pete is in this battle with too many things to carry. Too many weapons at once but he keeps going.

  Now people around him are "more normal" they have little to no monsters and are breezing through. Now these weapon meant to help have completely drained him and everything he has been fighting for really does not seem worth it. This has to make sense or at least to him it did. Dropping everything meant to help and running away from the monsters.

   After dropping his weapons and shields he is able to breathe freely but there was consequences. Consequences he could not yet see.

   After running and fighting with nothing he feels as if he has lost. Taking all his weapons he finally kills the monsters but little does he know they are not the only ones that lost...
