Rain

The wind blows gently,
and brings along a slow drizzle.
My senses are numb to everything
but the sound of raindrops hitting the ground:
pitter-patter-pitter-patter.
And I let my mind wander
to thoughts that bring a smile
to my face,
And to some that make me frown.
As the minutes pass,
I lose myself in the serenity all around.
I stare with awe
As little droplets of water,
like strings of clear pearls,
fall to the earth.
I look around with wonder
at nature's beauty,
Feeling as though I have discovered
the most beautiful form of art.
