The first part of my domestic trollhunters. This is a new series of mine, and I don't want anyone copying me unless I say you can. I take requests and all that stuff.

Let's get on with this. heh heh ha......right...

One Saturday afternoon, everyone one was being productive in the Lake household. Brayden was in his travel cot, Alex was playing MarioKart 8 on his Nintendo Switch, Cora and Morgan were out, Claire was tidying the rooms and Jim was on his knees facing the counter, confused as to why the Amulet of Daylight was not responding at his command.

Claire's spring clean was interrupted by a phone call from Arcadia Oaks Academy.

"Hello?"

"Hello, Mrs. Lake, this is Mr. Palchuck from Arcadia Oaks Academy, I'm calling you to inform you about Cora. She and another pupil got into a fight, yesterday at lunch. No serious damage has been done except for a few dents in the lockers. But that's nothing the school funds won't cover."

"Oh. Right, I sincerely apologize for my daughter's terrible behaviour and I am willing to pay any charges for the damage done to school property. She did come home in a funny mood, but she has been for the past week, so I let it slide. Thank you for telling me, Steve, and I will talk to her."

"Nice talking to you Claire. Have a good day."

"You too, Mr. Palchuck."

Claire sighed and tried calling Cora.

'Hello, you've reached Cora's phone. I am not able to take your call right now but leave a message after the beep and I will get back to you as soon as possible. BEEEEEEP. Hehe.'

"Oh, Cora." Claire tied her hair and went to tell her husband.

"Hey, Jim? Do you know where Cora and Morgan went? Neither of them are picking up......their.......phones.....Jim, hunny, what the hell are you doing?"

Jim's focus never left the amulet, that just sat innocently on the counter in front of Jim.

"This god-damn amulet is not responding to my freaking command. It won't listen to me."

Claire tried to sustain her laughs. His frowny glare made her chuckle and shake her head.

"Have you tried saying the incantation, calmly?" He nodded, finally averting his gaze from to amulet to his wife.

"Nothing. But why do you wanna know where the kids are?" Jim changed the subject back to their oldest children. Claire's smile dropped and looked dead serious again.

"The school phone me a couple mins ago. Cora got into a fight on Friday at lunch." Jim's eyes widened, shocked that his precious little girl got into a fight at school. He whipped his phone out and tried calling Cora and Morgan. Both went straight to voicemail.

"Ugh....what do we do....now? For all, we know a rogue troll is out terrorizing the city AND our kids. And this stupid amulet is not working." Jim picked up the amulet and threw it across the floor.

"Cora...Lake....."

Jim and Claire looked at each other, then at the amulet then back at each other. Confusion in both brown and blue orbs. Then a smile cracked on Claire's face.

"Jim, you know what this means right?"

"Oh no, I am not putting my little girl in danger. I'm not having her go through what  we had to Claire."

She looked at him, a look of anger and happiness.

"It would be good for her to have this job. Now we can teach her all we know. Think about it, Cora, Morgan and Jace, the new troll hunting team. Cora now holds the amulet, Morgan can have my shadow staff and Jace can have TP'S Warhammer. It's a win-win situation."
