The Chase

Chloe: {Lost Look} (turns around in circles looking around anxious and scared panting) hears a chuckles

Vladmin: [chuckles]- Chloe oh little Chloe! Where are you? You can run but you can't hide from me. I can smell your blood. You smell so sweet; it's so strong it would attract an army of vampires.

(Trees rustle)

Chloe: ( glances up and continues to run) "Be gone! Leave me alone! I never wanted to play this game of cat and mouse."

Vladmin: ( getting closer) " Oh but you will if you value your life. If you can get out the forest before sun break I will let you live, but I don't know if I would stop pursuing you"

Chloe: [Whimpers] (glances from side to side and instantly trips on a loose branch)

Vladmin: " I told you I would find you."

Chloe: (slowly looks up to see Vladmin standing over her. His fangs glistened in the dark night like a flashlight. His eyes glowed a deep crimson with a tinge of yellow and green) [smirks] {she pulls out a string of vervain and throws it at Vladmin's face.}

Vladmin: {jumps back in displeasure and hisses as Chloe gets up and starts running really fast} " You insolent fool, that can't hurt me!"

Chloe: (sees a cliff up ahead. She smells the ocean) "Oh no!" she whispers.

Vladmin: [chuckles] " Nowhere else to go!"

Chloe: (glances back and sees him coming but not as fast as she thought) {stands by the edge}

Vladmin: " Just give up already." {bored look}

Chloe: looks down below [smirks] (falls back arms spread)

Vladmin: (waits to hear the splash but never hears one) {confused look} ( walks over to the edge, bends down and peers down).

Chloe: (sees Vladmin then takes a chance. Swings her legs above her head while holding the sturdy branch. Wraps her legs around his neck and swings him off the cliff, down into the water). ( Chloe looks down and watches as the blood slowly consumed the waters) " Thank god!"

Chloe: (Chloe climbs back up the cliff and races home, locks her doors and windows. She changes into her nightgown turns off the lights and jumps into bed. She closes her eyes for a few minutes only to be awakened by a short wintery cold draft) [rolls over in bed] (opens eyes completely) [gasp]

Vladmin: (smirks)

Chloe: I .thought. I thought you were...

Vladmin: Dead? Heavens no! You killed, well hurt my twin, Hermes. We can swim (waves his hand of dismissal) Enough chit chat!

(Before Chloe could even get up, Vladmin kicked her back down against the bed. [blood spurted out of her mouth] He punched her dead on in the stomach. {blood trickled down her head to her neck} Then he punched her in the face.

Chloe :( [Chloe's foot came in contact with his groin but there was no acknowledging sign of injury from Vladmin.] )

(Vladmin grabbed her by the hair)

Vladmin: "Now you'll become my queen." (he pressed her temples real hard and Chloe fell unconscious)

(Vladmin picks up her limp body and flees through the window.)

Vladmin: "I win again." (He looked down at Chloe) {Sincerity and concern along with loving look in his green eyes} (He licked the blood off her neck and continued to flee at full speed.

Chloe's Mind: Why am I so weak? He says he loves me and now he places a deep hole in my heart. He placed a deep hole in my heart before and he has done it again. And the way his red eyes look into my lavender ones alike makes me feel a certain way. Its like I want him but at the same time I don't. Now that I lost I have no choice but to give in. He killed my best friend Shah-Low and I was powerless then and now (flashback)

I was walking through the park at night when I was 7 years old. I saw a dark figure sitting next to another figure. He was doing something so I went closer. That's when I met Vladmin. He was pale with a head full of midnight black hair. His eyes ran deep with a certain green and yellow. They were kind of hazel. His lips were thin and pink but they were now dripping with a deep red liquid. When I looked at the victim, I wasn't even scared. I was fearless. I moved closer towards him. "Hey does it taste good?" was all I said. His eyes went wide with surprise. "Yeah I guess." He said. I stared deep into his eyes mesmerized and he did the same. "Hey want to be my friend?" I asked. "Yes I would." He smiled. "Great ill meet you here everyday at this time ok?" I suggested. " Ok." He shrugged. So it happened like that everyday for two weeks we ran around the park chasing each other.

 We were best of friends. However, one day I decided to bring my best friend Shah- Low, who I had a crush on, to meet Vladmin. I left them alone to go pick some berries deeper in the park. When I came back, I stepped in a puddle of blood. I dropped my basket and continued running. I'll never forget the day I saw Vladmin sucking the blood out of Shah-Low's body. I screamed "No!" and I ran all the way home. I told my mom what happened and she called the police. Shah-Low's body was found that night. Since that incident I haven't seen Vladmin until not too long ago, when I was 12. I just got to school. I sat by the window far in the back of the class that faced the back street of the school. I was staring out the window when I noticed a figure standing by a willow tree. His head turned slowly toward my direction and he stared at me. "I remember those eyes" was all I could think. 

Then I remembered. As if he could sense my fear his fangs extended and he smiled. I blinked and he was gone. Later that week while walking home from school I felt like I was being watched. I turned around and saw him standing next to a tree a few feet away from me. First, instinct was run so it was the only choice I was following. Like the whispers of the wind he said, " Chloe my love, I'll be waiting." Unexpectedly, after his visit my paranormal senses awakened. I can see and talk to ghost. Yes I've spoken to Shah-Low. I eventually confessed my unrequited love for him and he's been with me ever since. Vladmin still tries to pull me under but I'm still going to fight.
