12 - How They Met (1)

~Flashback~

A black cat was strolling along the street, trying to find his owner. He had been trying to find his owner for hours but it was still no luck for him. As he continued strolling, someone grabbed him by his neck which made him hiss but the man did not care and just threw him inside a cage.

"Let's go," The man said in a deep voice. His men nod and they threw the cage into the van and drove of to who knows where.

For God knows how long later, they arrived in some kind of abandoned building. One of the men carried the cage and soon everyone entered the building. The cat was slightly confused and scared. He lost his owner and now he was catnapped by some mysterious dudes.

"Guard the area. I'll be in my lab when you need me," the man who is the boss put out his hand. The dude who was carrying the cage hesitated but soon gave the cage to his boss.

"Good. Now it's time to test my next experiment on this little one," The boss grinned evilly as he look closer at the black cat, which scooted away from him.

"Tch," The boss then took the cage with him and went inside the elevator and it took him to the underground basement, or his lab.

The man who carried the cage before was slightly guilty. He was new to this whole job and he didn't know that his boss was actually like an evil scientist. No wait, he is not like one... He is one.

"Hey, I know you're still new here but everything's going to be fine," One of the men said, placing his hand on his shoulder.

"He's right, pal. Even though the boss is like a freak, he is actually nice... Well, sometimes. At least you weren't here when he did an experiment of wolves. Man... that was a nightmare..." Another one of them said and everyone nodded in agreement.

The dude --You know what, let's just call him William--, shivered at the thought of it. Later, everyone went to their stations and guarded the area. William just can't stop thinking something bad will happen later.

Maybe it's just my imagination... He thought to himself. But oh... How wrong he was. 

When the boss arrived at his lab, he was greeted by his other men which were in their lab coat. He then placed the cage on one of the table and smirked at the cat.

"Everyone, starting tomorrow, we shall start with the test," He said and everyone nodded. Then, he left to who knows where, leaving the cat and the other men in the lab.

One of them walked closer to the black cat and said, "I'm sorry." 

He inject a syringe into its neck and it hissed in pain.

Slowly, the cat fell into darkness, thinking about his owner once again.

The Next Day

When the cat woke up, he noticed that he was no longer inside the cage, instead, people were holding it down to an examining table.

"Ah, you're finally awake, cat." The mad scientist grins as he pulled out all sorts of equipment. The cat tried to struggle free but it was no use. 

Then, he saw a person lying on another examining table which was next to him.

"Well too bad. We can't do the experiment now since that person is still asleep." He said.

Time Skip~

Few hours of waiting later, the person was finally awake, only to noticed that he was chained.

"W-what... What's going on?!" He screamed and only the scientist laugh evilly, like Frankenstein.

"Now that he's awake, let's get the test started~" He grins.

And all you could hear was the sound of screaming and hissing.

The cat woke up.

"Must be a dream..." He suddenly spoke up which shocked him. 

"Since when can I talk?" He said again. He look around and saw a mirror. He slowly walked closer to it but soon backed away and hit the metal bars when he saw what he saw in the mirror.

"You're awake! I can't believe it work!" 

The cat turned his back and saw the mad scientist again.

"What did you do to me?" He growled and the scientist was surprised and laughed again.

"And you talk to! I really did it! Now I can earn a lot of money!"

"What happened?! Answer me! And where's the other guy?!" He shouted as he held onto the metal bars and glared at the mad man.

"Oh, son. Unfortunately, the other guy didn't make it. But you, my friend, are a success. You made my experiment go smoothly without any problems. I should thank you. Now, stay here and don't go anywhere." He suddenly said darkly and began to walk away.

"What on Earth happen...?" He questions.

"You were the first subject to him to test his another experiment," A voice suddenly spoke up which cause him to stay on guard.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you." The person walked in front of the cage and place a tray of food in front of him.

"You're..."

"I'm William. Sorry that you had to been through this." William said with an apologetic look.

"..."

"You should eat something. You've been unconscious for about a week." He said.

"A week...?" William nodded. He pushed the tray inside the cell, indicating that he should eat.

"Why are you being so nice to me? Aren't you one of them?" He said and started to eat the food.

"Well, yes. But I didn't know the boss was actually a mad scientist. I'm new to this job and I'm just getting used to it. I didn't expect him to do these kind of experiments. Sorry,"

"It's not your fault. By the way, what am I?" He asked.

"You're a Hybrid. A Hybrid of a cat and a human."

The Hybrid just stayed quiet.

"What's your name? If you have one..." William asked.

"Yoongi."

"Yoongi, huh... I'm going to get you out of here,"

"Huh? Why?"

"You shouldn't be here. It's too dangerous."

"But even if I am free, it's also dangerous. Where will I stay? How will I survive? And won't it ruin your job?"

"I plan to quit soon. You can stay with me when we're out of here." William said as he stood up.

"Are you sure?" Yoongi asked.

"Yep! I promise! I'm going to go first. See you tomorrow, Yoongi!" William waved to his as he gave a wide smile and walked away. Yoongi waved back.

When William was out of sight, Yoongi sat on the floor with his knees in front of his chest, head in between.

"Taehyung... I hope you're alright..."

Soon, Yoongi fell asleep.
