"We're going Katie! I'm not going to miss the last party of the year!" I whine to my best friend.
"For the last time, Brooke I don't feel like it, all that happens is someone ends up hurt by some jerk, then we have to go home early."
She complains as I tug at the laces of my high heeled boots. I catch her smile and decide to try something else.
"We won't even stay long! besides, I'm sick of going for the guys lets just go to see people we know and have fun, Chloe's gonna be really upset if she sees that we didn't make it." I pout.
"Fine." She groans.
"But only an hour! I don't want to be there forever." Katie gives in.
"Yay!" I jump up and hug her.
At the party*
"Oh my god! I'm so glad you could make it!" Chloe exclaims.
"See I told you Katie! Chloe was waiting for us!" I can't help but smirk at being right.
"Go! Have fun the pool is in the back and the chips are near the dance floor help yourselves!" Chloe explains to us.
"I'll be eating the chips if you need me Brooke." Katie waves to me.
"Sure." I nod.
I stand there awkwardly until I decide to make my way to the pool, the lights are hanging from the trees giving the pool a nice glow.
"Wow." I say.
"Am I really that stunning?" I hear a voice behind me.
I jump, hesitating to look behind then doing so anyways.
"Um hey I'm Br-" I stutter.
Why was I nervous? I could talk to any guy I ever wanted to. I look up at him, his tall figure towering above me, it was dark but I could see his blonde head and bright blue eyes.
"Well"? he snapped.
"Are you going to answer me or not?"
I must have been staring too long, he asked if I came alone.
"No I came with my best friend." I answered.
That sounded like a little kids response! Best friend! Really?
"Is she around?" he asked.
"No. Why?" I stood nervously.
"Then that must mean we are the only ones by the pool." he smirked.
I backed up a bit slowly, falling right into the pool.
"Ahh!" I shrieked.
"Well that's not the first time I got a girl wet on the first day." he laughed
"Excuse me?" I asked.
"Nothing." he let it go.
He jumped in the pool taking his black tee off.
"Who the hell wears skinny jeans in a pool?" I said out loud.
"Who the hell wears a dress in the pool?" he remarked back at me.
"Oh I- I'm sorry." I blushed.
"It's okay br." He laughed.
"Br?" I asked.
"That's what you told me your name was anyways."
he began to swim around.
"I'm Brooke, you asshole." I snapped.
