Lisa had been avoiding Jennie
Why? She didn't know. All she knows is that Jennie had a guy over and it was obvious that she interrupted something. Is he her suitor? boyfriend? No, Jennie would've told her that.
But still, she felt a pang of jealousy in her chest. And she knows she shouldn't be. Well who am i to get jealous? I'm just her neighbor after all.
She definitely didn't like this feeling, she felt too childish. Jisoo would've scolded her by now, which is why she didn't tell her. She could already imagine her bestfriend screaming in her face."What the fuck Lisa! What did i tell you!? You should've ask her a long time ago!"
Jennie was confused as well, why has Lisa been so cold to her. She never see Lisa during mornings and when she did, all she got was a nod from her as she always seem to be in a rush whenever she see her.
Jennie was starting to miss her, she miss her lame jokes and bad pick up lines. Ever since she met Lisa, her days seems to be a lot brighter and her smiles were a bit wider.(a/n: did i just rhyme??😂)
It's been a few days and Jennie is starting to get worry, was it her? Did she had done something wrong? Their current situation was really taking a toll on her and it doesn't help that her ex-boyfriend visited her last week to patch things up. She wanted to talk to Lisa about this but ever since Lisa walked in on them, she had been so weird.
In attempt to clear her head, she decided to go to her favorite cafe. And to her luck, she saw Lisa.
"Wait!!"She shouted. Lisa looked up in surprise, definitely not expecting to see Jennie.
She entered and stood beside Lisa. It was quite awkward, but Jennie broke the tension.
"How are you?"
"Fine."
"Okay,"
They became silent again. It was so uncomfortable. A few moments had passed when suddenly they heard a loud bang, as the lift suddenly stop.
"Shit!"Lisa cursed.
"What happened?"Jennie asked worriedly.
"We're stuck."
"Well that's just fucking great."
"Don't swear."
"You just did a couple of seconds ago."
"Are you mad?"
She wasn't mad at Lisa, she just wanted to know why she wasn't talking to her and frankly, it was hot inside the elevator.
"Have you tried the emergency button?"Jennie asked instead of answering Lisa's question.
"It doesn't work."Lisa tried, but all she got was weird noises.
Jennie let out a sigh then sat down at the floor, her hands at her face. She let out a frustrated groan. Lisa sat beside her and patted her.
"Is there something wrong?"Lisa tried consoling her but she was only met with an annoyed look from Jennie.
"Why are you asking me that?"
"What?..I don't get--"
"For fucks sake Lisa! Why are you avoiding me? Is it something that i have done? Please tell me because i don't like this, i'm actually missing you."
"I'm sorry if i made you feel that way Jennie. It wasn't something you did, it was all on me"
"Then tell me! If i'm not, then why are you taking it out on me!?"Jennie frustratingly said.
"Who was that guy on your apartment?"
"Well, shit--Taehyung!?"Jennie shouted in disbelief."Taehyung was my ex-boyfriend and my ex for a reason. We broke up six months ago and he went to my place last week because he wanted us back together and i said no. Can you believe that asshole? He hurt me Lisa and i needed you that day, but you walk away and started avoiding me."She paused looking at Lisa, whose head is hanging low."I didn't know what to do."
"Why haven't you told me about him before?"
"Well who in the right mind would open up about their ex?"
"I'm sorry,"Lisa sighed, regretting being jealous in the first place."I like you okay! Like, a lot. I'm so sorry if i got jealous even though i don't have a right and i'm sorry i acted immature. It's all on me, okay? It's alright if you get mad at me."Lisa said. She understood if Jennie didn't want to associate with her again, she probably destroyed what little something they had between them.
Jennie saw how regretful Lisa was. It was hard to be angry at her especially considering how cute she looked.
"Lisa, it's okay. I understand why did you do that and besides, i said no to Taeyhung because I already like someone else,"Jennie paused to look at her reaction, but Lisa just gave her a confused look."You, Lisa. I like you."Jennie giggled as she pinched Lisa's nose. Lisa was in awe. She couldn't believe that the girl infront of her likes her back.
Lisa was about to say something when the elevator suddenly moves again. The doors finally opened and they were greeted by two maintenance staff and a few annoyed passengers.
"Are you both okay?"
"Yes."They both said in unison.
"Were so sorry for the inconvenience, we will just fix the problem immediately,"The man apologized.
"It's okay, uhm just also fix the emergency call,"Lisa said to the man who just nodded.
She saw Jennie waiting for her at the front door and she quickly run up to her."Is it true? You like me too?"she said, pinching her arm to see that she wasn't dreaming.
Jennie giggled at her antics and nodded."Yes. Actually, I realized it when you suddenly went.. you know, cold. It gave me a lot of time to sort out my feelings."Jennie said showing her gummy smile. Lisa looked down, suddenly feeling shy.
"So.."Lisa started, she can't hide the grin on her face.
"So.."Jennie mimicked, giggling.
"Wanna go out for a coffee sometime?"
"I'm actually heading to that small cafe around the corner. Wanna do it now?"
"Sure!"Lisa said enthusiastically and put her arms around Jennie's shoulder..
