(Y/N) POV

I took a handful of capable men and we stealthily rowed to the frigate. The men only carried a knife and an emergency pistol. Thankfully, the ship was stationary so we didn't have to chase. The plan was that both row boats will take a side and climb quietly to the top. Afterwards we kill or incapacitate the skeleton crew. Next we signal the Royal Tempest (Your ships name) to take its side of the frigate. As the boat approaches the side of the ship, I see a light approaching the edge. I quickly climb the ladder that was in the ship. I see one of the crew look over the ledge, I grabbed his mouth and slit his throat. I toss him over the ledge imitating a scream. My men were ready to board, but I put my hand in a way to signal them to wait. The rest of the Romeans went to see if their comrade was okay. I slowly slid my thumb across my throat to show my men what I want. As the crew peers over the edge, my men kills or knocks them out. We then climb onto the ship. We see the helmsman and he sees us, he reaches for the warning bell. I threw a knife at his hand which it went through his wrist. One of my men tackled him and knocked him out. We give the signal.

30 minutes later

The Royal Tempest arrives placing itself next to the frigate. The rest of the crew comes aboard. I was chosen to lead a team to clear out the armory just in case a battle happens. We reach the armory to find something unexpected. We see the enemy taking weapons from their own armory. From their expressions and how suspicious they were, they were probably stealing from their own supply, huh. One of them took out a pistol, aimed at me and fired. I felt pain in my chest, but it felt too painful, if I was bleeding I should be feeling less and less as the blood leaves my body. As my men killed the opposition, I looked down at my chest. I reached onto my chest and pulled out a pair of bone dice that I use to gamble with. This shouldn't have stopped the bullet, but it did. My men looked at me with surprised.

(Y/N): "Its okay, I'm fine."

Crew 1: "Dear God .  . . He has the gift of luck!"

(Y/N): "What? No I got lucky but it's no gift."

Crew 1: "Look where the bullets ended up."

Wait, bullets? I look at the dice and realized that there was two bullets, one on each dice. And the strangest part was that the bullets landed on snake eyes.

Crew 2: "Aye, there's no doubt about it, you got the gift of luck. There is no coincidence like that mate."

I looked at the dice and begin to ponder the possibility. This is beyond coincidence. But we are still in the middle of battle.

(Y/N): "This is a discussion for later, for now we must take over the ship." I have seven men under my command. "You four clear the area, no survivors. You two guard the door, if anyone is coming, warn us. And you, you are coming with me to ensure that the cargo is secured and that we won't have any problems bringing them back to our ship."

Ten minutes have past. Mila and her men should be finishing up clearing the crew quarters and Sylvia and her group should be done clearing out the rest of the ship. I was done checking the cargo until . . .

Crew: "Hey boss look, a stow away!"

Girl: "(Please don't hurt me)!"

Crew: "I think she is a Romean! She also had some kind of large tube in the barrel she was hiding in. Apparently someone was taking care of her."

He held the hair of a 9 year old girl. She was small and innocent looking. She was pale like a royal. She was speaking in Romean which is of course no surprise to me, nor a challenge. She looked at me with teary eyes, pleading.

Girl: "(Please, I-I promise to leave! Just don't hurt me, PLEASE!)"

Girl: "(Please, I-I promise to leave! Just don't hurt me, PLEASE!)"

I roughly took the girls arm and dragged her to a room where no one can hear us. I turn to the one who found her.

(Y/N): "You did good now keep searching."

I took her into the room, once we were in the room I loosened my grip, turned her towards me.

(Y/N): "(Don't be scared, I won't hurt you if do as I say, okay?)"

She does a very fast nod. She looked terrified, I think she misunderstood me. I gently grab her by the shoulder, which only made shake in fear even more. I got on my knee, eye level.

(Y/N): "(Look, I won't do ANYTHING bad, okay?)"

The girl thinks about this, clearly still doesn't trust me. But she does settle down a bit.

Girl: "(You . . . Y-You promise?)"

(Y/N): "(I promise. I need you to listen to me, okay? These men that are around me will hurt you or worse. So I need you to wear this.)

I didn't want to tell her that these handcuffs marked her as my slave. But if the men don't see that then she will be a target to those who have . . . young tastes. My plan is to drop her off at the capital with my old friend. The bastard is greedy but always upholds his end of the bargain when paid enough. Then hopefully, she can start clean. No worries or fear. I gently cuffed her and then myself. The mark was set, as far as the men know she belongs to me.

(Y/N): "(This is a pact, this says that you will serve me in return for my protection.)"

I tried to put it nicely.

Girl: "(So a slave . . .)"

Fuck . . . I was trying to avoid that.

(Y/N): "(No I-)

Girl: "(It's okay, I'm use to it.)"

I gave her a questioning look until I realized something. My god, this wasn't a naval warship, it's a slaver ship. I look at the girl.

(Y/N): "(Are there anymore? Anymore people forced here against there will?)"

The girl shook her head.

Girl: "(They sold everyone. They hid me so they could keep me for themselves.)"

So this girl has been through everything. I have to make sure that this girl stays safe. I look her in the eye and said in my best caring voice.

(Y/N): "(Well, how about introductions? I'm (Y/N),  it's a pleasure to meet you!)"

I gave her a smile. She seems to have relaxed a bit more, good.

Girl: "(H-hoi, I'm Misty.)
