Im inlove

Its been about a day since Adam texted. I have thought about what to do. I really like James, and my feelings have grown overnight. I cant lead Adam on and go on a date. He really scated me last time. I know I have to text him back. I re-writ the text various times,  and I decided to send:

Hey Adam!

Sorry my phones been dead for a while, so I only just got your text. Im fully booked for the next few weeks with exams and music stuff. Maybe some other time. Talk soon

I'm not a mean person, so I wanted to put him down lightly and lie. I am gonna tell James. I really like James being here. Hes here for another week and a half, then his parents come home. I ran down the stairs to find James playing on the xbox, what a surprise. "James! You cant always be on that xbox!" James jumped and smiled. "Shutup! And wheres your bother Jake?" He said laughing.

"Jakes at work unlike you!" I said playfully. "Well you know Im in a band! speaking of that, you should really meet them. What you doing tomorrow?  Oh wait let me guess, going on another date with Adam." James said, sounding surprisingly jealous! "Im not doing anything, because I told Adam I couldnt go on another date."

James smiled."Well thats good then." He said jumping up and walking over to me. He reached the doorway where I was standing and we looked into eachothers eyes. It felt like we were going to kiss. Oh my god whats happening. James put his his arm on the doorway so I was underneath it. He started to lean in. OH MY GOD!!!!! WHATS HAPPENING!!!!! Our lips were close when all of a sudden the door opened "EMILY JAMES IM HOME." Great timing mum. James and I jumped and James pulled away. He looked awkwardly at me and said "Im going to get something to eat from the kitchen, you want anything?" He said as he poked me in the tummy. "No im umm.. good thanks." I wasnt good. Oh my god James was defo gonna kiss me. Will this be awkward? "MUM!" I shouted. "Did you get my special chicken?"

I made convo with my mum and James like nothing happened. I walked upstairs and went into my bedroom. There was a knock on my door. "Come in!" I shouted. It was James. "Em, come here." He said demandingly. I obeyed and teased him. "What do you want Mr McVey?" I said poking his tummy. "Em, I wanted you to know... Your my absolute best friend." James said. I was wishing for an I love you, but no. I smiled and I was overcome with emotion. Tears filled my eyes, and James pulled me in for a hug. He kissed the top of my head fiddling with my hair. I held him tight and wanted to stay there forever.  He pulled away. "Night em." He said. he ran down the stairs and went to his huge sofa bed. I closed my door and dreamed about James all night.
