Sold || A BTS ff [Short Story]

Chapter 1

    Shadows of gray casted over a small house in the countryside. A tiny boy sat on the window ledge, gazing out into the sky. Outside was gloomy, darkness beginning to creep up from every corner. The boy felt as if the sky was telling him something, to which the boy understood; something was going to happen today.

    “Kids!” yelled a masculine voice. At this, the boy, along with his other four siblings, hastily scampered towards the room where the voice had come from. Upon arriving, they were greeted with a male and female, sitting across from five empty chairs. “There's something important we need to talk about boys,” the female spoke. Hesitantly, the boys walked over to the chairs, sitting down ever so carefully. “What is it that you needed to talk to us about?” one boy asked. The female looked over at the male before turning back to the boys, inhaling a long breath. “There's no way to sugar coat this, and I'm so sorry,” the female began, tears starting to well up in her eyes. The boys looked at one another, confusion evident in their faces. After taking a few deep breaths, the female continued. “We're selling all of you, we can't afford to keep you,” she said, regret and sorrow evident in her voice.
