-No I did not start this theory
-I do not own My Hero Academia
-The first part of this theory isn't mine
-The second part is mineI was scrolling through youtube and I saw a video by: AnimeUproar which adressed the theory that Deku had a quirk which was stolen from him. The theory goes that Deku really did have a quirk but it was stolen from him. The probability of him having a quirk is pretty high since both of his parents have quirks. His mother, Midoriya Inko, could make small objects come towards her. His father, Midoriya Hisashi, could breathe fire.
But at the age of four Deku's quirk had not manifested yet. So his mother took him to the doctor to get him checked up. The doctor broke the news that Midoriya does in fact, not have a quirk. He showed them an x-ray and explained that Deku had two joints in his pinky toe. That indicates that he has no quirk.
This is where the theory starts:
What if that same doctor stole Deku's quirk and lied about him never having one? Later in the story you will see the person who possesses "All for One" in a dark room adress someone and the doctor who checked Midoriya looks like the silhouette of another doctor that was adressed by the person who has "All for One".People theorize that the doctor who checked Midoriya actually works with the villain who has "all for one". They think that the doctor looks/checks for kids who have potentially powerful quirks. Once he finds a child with said quirk, he tells the villain and he takes it.
What if he saw Midoriya's quirk and stole it? Many say "No, it was already shown in the x-ray that he has 2 joints in his pinky toe." If that was the case, well the theory's over. But what if that isn't the case? Many say that the doctor could've switched Midoriya's x-ray with someone else's.
Which brings us to, what was Midoriya's quirk? And if it was that potentially powerful why didn't he notice it? Many think that it could've been a non-physical/defensive quirk. Maybe he could've had power absorbtion. Deku, who was at the time 4, wouldn't need it right? No one's gonna hit a 4 y/o that's why it's possible he didn't notice it. Others say it could've been a mental type of quirk. One like Shinsou's. One might think that he probably didn't have that kind of quirk. Cause if Shinsou noticed his, why didn't Deku notice his own quirk? Maybe it manifested only a few months/weeks/days before he got a check up and that's why he didn't notice. Deku's not the type to ask for things and be that desperate to have it so his quirk didn't activate a lot. He could've used it once or twice but he didn't notice. And some think his quirk was the type that would only activate if his life was in a life or death situation. And Deku, who was at the time 4, wouldn't be in a life or death situation so he never got to use it.

What I think could've happened:
Personally I do believe that Deku did have a quirk. I'm leaning onto that because of how the doctor really did look like the person who the guy with "All for One" was talking too.I don't remember what that doctor's quirk is. But maybe he could talk to someone using just his mind. Maybe he was talking to a guy (another villain) who could create illusions as a quirk. Maybe he had him create the illusion that Deku had 2 joints and that's what Deku and his mom saw.
As for what I think his quirk was? I think he could've manipulated wind. Think about it, in the BNHA/MHA universe quirks start to manifest at age 4 and while they start to manifest the quirk is prett weak. And if Deku could've manipulated wind, it wouldn't be obvious, cause well, it's wind.
And personally the reason why I think the powers I listed in the theory before mine wasn't his quirk, because if he could absorb power he can't attack, which makes him kinda weak. If his power was the kind to only activate in a life or death situation, you wouldn't really be in a life or death situation 24/7 so it's not weak, but, as a villain you need to attack most of the time. The one I think could be possible is the mental quirk.
But wind manipulation could also be powerful. You could create distractions like knock things over and they wouldn't notice it's you. When you're dealing with a fire type quirk you can remove the oxygen in the fire and then poof no more fire. With a water type quirk you could freeze it or direct it to different direction.
Keep in mind being able to manipulate wind and control it is different. If you can only control it you can't make/create it. You can't change the temperature cause you can only control the wind that is already there so whatever that wind is like, it's all you have. If you can manipulate it you can create/make it. You can change the temperature and create it when there is none present. Like when you're dealing with a gas type quirk you can create clean air to surround you so you wouldn't be affected. If you're underwater you can create oxygen so you could breathe.
You could fly and move things/people. You can stop things from falling on you and even more.Just, it could be powerful.

Do you think Midoriya did have a quirk?
If yes, what could it have been?¤~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~¤
A/N: I haven't written a book in so long I was like pretty young and I never finished any of them. Please forgive my grammar, English isn't my first language. Also if you wanna talk about MHA/BNHA you can dm me! I'd love to have an internet friend. 😁
