Chapter 8

I followed the car to a small house on the outskirts of town. I grappled onto the roof. I leaned down over the ledge and stuck my head down. Inside was a normal looking kitchen. I saw a light turn on. I set a small mic and camera on the ledge so I could see it on my watch screen. I stayed there until the lights went out. Then I hurried home. The house was silent at I got in. I crossed my hands and the suit was off again. I monitored the house until I fell asleep.

I walked to school slowly. It was a Friday morning but I wasn't looking forward to the weekend. I'd have to keep my guard up even more than usual after what happened.
Percy never showed up that day so I walked to Wayne manor after and knocked.
"Hey is Percy okay" I asked
"Yes he's fine miss chase" he said "Mr Allen woke up this morning."
"Could I see him" I asked
"Of course"
I went down into the batcave which was nearly empty. Only Barry Wally Percy and Bruce were there.
"Where is everyone" I asked
"Busy" Bruce said "were having a meeting at Justice Hall tonight."
"What time" I asked
"Barbara will get you" Percy said "we planed it all ready"
"Okay" I said "here's your homework"
I gave him a small stack of papers.
"I never told you get these" he said
"Well I did" I said "plus Bruce asked me to"
"Guilty as charged" he shrugged

I sat in my room waiting for Barbara to show up. I twirled one of my electric disks in my fingers. I aimed and threw it at the wall. I forgot it was on and it stuck and burned the wall. I quickly pulled it off.
"Annabeth someone's here for you" bobby called
I grabbed my backpack and went to the door.
"Bye dad" I called
"Bye" he said
"Bobby" I started
"I'm Matthew" he said
"Matthew if you and Bobby go into my room I swear-"
"You can't threaten us" he said
I stuck my tongue out at him.
"You ready to go" Barbara asked
"Yeah" I said "let's go"

We got on a plane to head to Washington DC. We'd  get there a head of Percy because they would be driving. We touched down and I forced Barbara to go to at least the Washington monument.
"Well time to suit up" Barbara said

We stood in front of the Hall Of Justice. Reporters were there trying to get close.
"C'mon they won't bother us" Barbara was right we went around back and no one got in our way.
I walked around exploring.
"It's interesting huh?" Someone said I jumped
"Y-yeah" I said
"I'm Diana" she said
"I'm-"
"Annabeth Chase daughter of Athena" she cut in
"Yeah" I said "How do you know who I am?"
"Many people know who you are." she said "you've helped save All of western civilization."
"Well that's more Percy" I said
"She's proud of you you know" she said
"who" i asked
"Your mom" she said
"About me being a hero or a vigilante?" I asked
"Both" she said "and just being you"
I smiled.
"We're all interested in you Annabeth chase" she said
"Me?" I asked
"Why else do you think Batman helped you or why Wally helped you." She said
"I" I was at a loss for words
"You will be great one day even greater than you all ready are" she said
