Dan's POV-
Ever since he got a skateboard for his birthday, Dan's been at his local skate park non-stop. It was close by, and there were only ever s few people there. Usually, one-timers who found better parks later. Only he and one other guy were returning guest.
They rarely talked, but every time the other entered, they would smile and wave. Despite not knowing each other's name, the two definitely had some sort of connection. Dan really wanted to form a bond with the boy, but he was too afraid to start a conversation. He didn't know why, but every time he thought of him, his hands got sweaty and butterflies danced in his stomach.
It was a normal summer day, Dan got dressed, not bothering to straighten his hair, and headed out to the skate park. It was, like normal, only him and the unnamed boy. They smiled at each other and went on with their business. Dan headed over to the half-pipe and set his board up to drop in.
Phil's POV
He and the boy had been skating for some time now. It was the perfect time to start a conversation, Phil thought. Of course, he had thought that before but never actually confronted his "friend." It wasn't until noon that everything went wrong.
Phil was skating, keeping his eye on the boy as always, when he noticed him walking over half-pipe. Phil knew he could drop in, but he was still working on it. Phil skated a little closer just in case. He was glad he stayed close because the boy put his left foot way to high on the board, causing him to fly off to the bottom of the half-pipe.
Phil dropped his skateboard and slid down next to the boy, who was rubbing his head but not making any effort to stand up. Phil offered him his hand, which he took and stood up, only a few centimeters from Phil's face. Phil could feel a blush forming on the back of his neck.
"Thanks..." The boy said, not knowing Phil's name.
"Y-you're welcome! I-uh-I'm Phil!," Phil Stuttered.
"Dan." Dan smiled.
"Well, Dan, I think you just fell for me," Phil replied without thinking.
