" So, I presume the princess was blackmailed into handing her family's ancestral documents and artifacts."

" That is correct Tsunade-Sama." The pink-haired Anbu captain replied.

" When we were on surveillance for the past couple of months we noticed there were groups of peasants transferring wooden crates onto a frater. It was later identified that the crates carried documents and special objects including the royal family's ancient artifacts and heirlooms. The peasants were really just muggers and thieves that were doing the brunt work for the gang organization. The mind behind all of this was none other than their boss. Zurui Hokuto. He is an S-Class criminal in the bingo book and also a genius in economics and matters of theft. With the monarchy handed down to the princess, due to Zurui holding her father prisoner, she was easily manipulated. Luckily enough, we were there in time and were able to take care of the situation with Zurui and his men held in captivity."

" Well, though that may be true, don't you think that there were some... unnecessary sacrifices made?" The Hokage nodded toward Sakura's body signaling for the pinkette to look at herself.

Sakura glanced her body over noticing some of the gashes on her arms and a deep one on her stomach. She looked up emotionlessly at the Blonde as if she didn't have a care in the world for something so "trivial".

"No. I do not."

The Hokage, in turn nodded, though on the inside, she was perplexed and torn. It had been a while since the time when Sakura was still ... well, now was not the time to reminisce.

" Very well. Good work Sakura-Taichou. You are dismissed. However, I still need to discuss a few things with the other Anbu members." The Fifth Hokage stated.

Sakura silently nodded made a hand sign and disappeared in a puff of smoke.

...

Sakura arrived in her apartment. Her home was a simple one bedroom apartment with two restrooms. One being connected to her bedroom. There was also a small kitchen and decent- sized living room. She stepped out of her shoes hastily and head towards her bedroom bathroom to take a hot shower. It wasn't until the hot water hit her pale skin that she realized how tired she really was.

It had been a very complex mission  and it was always difficult when a life was involved. In this case, that whole kingdom would have fallen if the monarch was killed. Fortunately, three months back, a local merchant had crossed over the boarder of said kingdom to look for trading opportunities. He had taken notice of the situation and on a whim, had reached out to Konoha for help knowing that this kingdom was an important trading dock in the middle of the trade roots for the whole five lands.

The plan was to impersonate princess Nami, that was her name, and to stall enough for an opening to trick Zurui until they were kicked out of the lands and arrested and dealt with for their crimes. Though they had prevailed, there were still a few casualties here and there. The skilled medical ninja had healed all her fourteen comrades still having enough chakra to heal herself.. Whenever someone insisted that she heal herself, she only disregarded their words and brushed it off thinking nothing of her state. She hardly batted an eye when the water hit the deep gash on her left rib cage.

Sakura remained in her shower until the water turned cool, tossed a simple baby pink t-shirt on and green shorts, and plopped onto her bed and covered herself in the thick covers welcoming the much-needed rest that sleep provided. The time was already half-past one and after such a grueling mission, it took only a few moments until the young woman fell asleep.

...

A loud, yet barely muffled knocking was heard from Sakura's apartment door echoing throughout the little complex.
