"Steve, she left me." His voice cracked over the phone, "Pepper left me."

I drove down the street as fast as I could to Stark Tower. As soon as I could see it I noticed that all the lights were out except one.

I parked nearby and ran to the front, I pressed the buzzer and Tony's raspy voice came through the speaker, "Hello?"

"Tony, it's me, it's Steve." I heard a sigh of relief before the doors clicked open, I got in the elevator and pressed the right floor button.

As the elevator door opened I was met with strong arms and I felt my shirt getting wet as Tony's head rested on my shoulder.

"Come on Tony, let's have a seat." He kept one arm around my shoulder as his feet shuffled with mine to a couple of chairs.

In one night there were empty beer bottles everywhere and glasses knocked over, "What a mess."

"No point in cleaning up." Tony's snide remark caught me off guard and he noticed, "Sorry."

"It's alright I understand." Tony shook his head in disagreement.

"No, I don't think you do." He got up out of his chair and stood right in front of me, leaning in close, "You don't know how this feels."

I smelt the alcohol on his breath and pulled back further in my seat, Tony looked me up and down before walking over to the bar.

"Tony you need to stop drinking." I followed him to the bar and took the bottle of whisky from his hand.

"Why?" He slammed his hand on the bar, "It's not like anyone cares."

"You're right, nobody cares." I smashed the bottle on the ground, "That's why I'm here, right now."

"You'll leave to, everyone does." He slumped down on a stool and I shook my head before picking him up over my shoulder and carried him downstairs to his en-suite bathroom.

I dumped him into his bathtub and turned on the shower, he shouted and cried, probably at how cold it was.

He tried to get out but I held him down, my hands gripping his shirt and just as quickly as he started fighting he stopped. His voice quieted into sobs and he grabbed my wrists.

"I'm okay, I'm okay." I nodded and turned off the water, helping Tony out and into his bedroom, "Turn around."

I turned around and heard drawers open and close, I snuck a peek over my shoulder and fought a blush as I saw Tony's naked body but I quickly turned back around.

"Steve." I turned around as Tony said my name, he was dressed this time, "Stay with me tonight please."

"I won't leave you." Tony climbed onto his bed, just sitting there before patting the space beside him and I joined him on the bed.

"This house feels so empty now."
