~Ellie's POV~
'Ughh! Why can't my parents understand me? Why are they always yelling at me to be better and be like them? I hate them!!! ' I thought as I slammed my bedroom door. I had just gotten done fighting with my parents, for about the millionth time this week. Still I'm my own person, I'm nothing like them. They always want to control me and Jake's lives. Jake did something about it, he left, and now he's living the good life. I laid down on my bed and fell alseep shortly after.
-Time Skip to dinner-
"Ellie! Dinner, I know your hungry." My mom called from the kitchen.
"Whatever!" I yelled back.
"Don't talk to your mother that way! I swear to god, your becoming more like your brother everyday." My dad said as I walked to the kitchen.
"Is that a bad thing Appa?" I asked sarcastically. My parents hated the fact that Jake, my brother, went to Oregon State, instead of what they wanted. They wanted him to do a local college.
"Yes it is, now shut up and eat your food, We have something to tell you." My father said in Korean so that I knew that he ment what he was saying , and so that knew not to piss him off.
"What is it?" I asked as I ate.
"Well me and your father have been talking about this for a while now, and ....." She looked over to my dad and then back to me, "And we're sending you to Quinton's Academy. It's for the best trust us."
"What do you mean it's for the best! My friends are here, when can I see them? When can I see Jake? What about my schooling? You can't just rip me out of my school!" I yelled standing up.
"Yes we can, and it's not even been a month of school, and you've already been in more than ten fights! We can't tolerate behavoir like this Ellie. So you better start packing up your shit because you leave on Friday." My father said standing up as well.
"BUT FRIDAY IS TOMORROW!" I yelled.
"We know, so you better pack up." My mom said calmly.
"Fine I will!" I stormed off into my room. And people wonder why I'm the way I am. It's not like my parents verbaly abuse me and don't care about me at all. Just as long as I go where they want me to, and I become an transalter like they have planned for me, then I will be praised by them. After about an hour of packing, I was finaly finished. 'Atleast I'm getting out of this hell hole. ' I thought. I called my "friends" about me moving tomorrow, and they said the usual "we'll miss you" or "let's try to keep in touch". I said friends the way I did because even though I hang out with them at school, I never talk to them, we never hangout, and we just didn't really get along with each other.
-Time Skip to Friday-
I just woke up, to my parents yelling,"Ellie, get your lazy ass up. The bus is here to take you!" I slowly got out of bed and grabbed the last box that was in my room, the rest of the boxes where already by the door.
"All we gotta say, is dont get pregnant. We need you to become a translator, and if you get pregnant then you can just kiss that goodbye, and never be welcome back." My father whispered in my ear as I left. I bowed due to respect that I learned when I was little, hey I may hate my parents, but I respect my heritage.
"That sounded so sweet, you really have a good family." the man who I assume is someone high up at the academy.
"Yep so sweet." I bitterly said.
"Anyway,I'm Vice Principal Haris, and we are happy to have you." Haris said.
"Whatever sooner or later your gonna find out that I like to get into fights, and that I refuse to lose. So just wake me up when we get there." I said putting in my ear buds and falling asleep.
