The War of Valhalla

Genesis

Many years ago, there was a war. A terrible, terrible war that wreaked havoc all across the planet. No I am not talking about our home planet, Earth. No. This planet is one like no other, a planet where animals are the inhabitants, but not just any type of animals, these creatures are special. They are they kind of breed only in our imagination, at least that's what most think. These animals are what most call, Furries. They walk, talk, eat, and do things that humans can do. How? Well around the same time the Big Bang happened, around the same time that Adam and Eve bred to create our human race, was the same time that Zara, a goddess to the Furries, created them. No one knows what animal she is, if she even is an animal that is. First she started with the lions, the "king" of the animal kingdom as we call it, then the wolves, the bears, and the tigers. She created one after the other. Of course she did create dinosaurs, the saber tooth tigers, and other prehistoric animals that God created. She took his creation and well, upgraded it I guess is what I am trying to say. Zara combined the human and animal abilities from each individual and spliced their genes so that the Furry Kingdom would be able to communicate with both human and animal. She also created a planet especially for them. It is called, Valhalla. She had good intentions and believed that her creation would be good and thrive, which it did thrive and still does but, there was uh.... Conflict between some of the animals. This was the beginning of a war that would determine the fate of their unique world and existence. The Carnivores believed they were the "dominant" ones of their world. They thought that the Omnivore's were weak compared to them. This was the spark that flared into a war called The Hunting.

Taylor

A loud crash booms through the air, traveling through the airwaves and bouncing off the wolf's ear drums, he winces but shakes his head. He had to stay focused so he wouldn't be shot. The debris from the thrown grenade scatters across the beaten up earth and creates a tiny crater. He dives behind a wall of bricks and holds his rifle to his chest. He peaks over the wall and aims, shooting at a couple of enemy furs. He manages to shoot one and cause the other to hide behind a piece of ruin in the distances.

"Fuck yeah! Take that you ignorant piece of shits!"
Lieutenant Taylor Grey has been in this kind of situation many many times but never imagined it would become this chaotic. He's only been in the rebellion for 2 years and never been this close to death. Of course he was trained for this kind of situation but never actually been in one. He was enjoying it; the rush it gave him fueled his body. He was one of the few furs that believed in equality for all species no matter what they chose to eat. Whether it was meat like he enjoyed very much, or plants which he liked every now and then but prefered meat. He is a considered a carnivore since he rarely eats vegetables of course. He is part of the rebellion, fighting for a better future. The leader of their group, Christian, formed the alliance after his parents were both killed by two other furs. One carnivore, the other, an herbivore. Him and his parents were walking down the street one Saturday night after a movie, they took a shortcut home but were caught in the middle of a conflict between a tiger and a rabbit. To protect him his parents ended up attacking the tiger and rabbit when they began to get violent with each other.

"You stupid rabbit! Why don't you go choke on a carrot?" The large tiger snarled, showing his fangs.
The rabbit glared at the tiger and clenched his fist as he steadied his feet. "Oi you bloody wanker! Why don't you piss off before that carrot gets shoved up yer arse and through your damn throat!?"

His parents surrounded their cub and tried not to draw too much attention to themselves but once things got ugly, they had to do what they had to to protect him. The tiger growled and lunged at the rabbit but the rabbit was too quick and barrel rolled out of the way, kicking the tiger in his ribs. He stands back up and lashes at the rabbit's legs, scratching it's ankle pretty badly. Blood gushes from it, causing the rabbit to scream in pain. He stands up weakly and punches the tiger hard in his jaw, knocking out one of its fangs. He punches again and again, beating it's face in. The tiger leaps at him, this time tackling him and pinning his arms down.
