Prologue

"Tsukki!" 

"Tsukishima!" 

The door to the hospital ward was slammed open, to revealed a pack of worried crows. But then, the Ex-Karasuno volleyball Captain hit the head of the current ace of Karasuno volleyball team, Hinata, and Kei's best friend, Yamaguchi. 

"Silent. We're in the hospital. We will troubling other patients around." Daichi reprimand them while Sugawara can be seen apologizing to the glaring nurses and patients in the hallway.

Kei, who was sitting on the hospital bed while listening to some music with her headphone and reading a book, only look at them with a bored look before she take of his headphone off. "Oh, you guys came."

"Of course, we came. We're worried for you." Not long after, ward room seems quite stuffy with his volleyball mates, along with the senpais who have graduated, surround his bed.

"How are you Tsukishima? I heard those who emerged this late have quite a high risk."

"Woah, Tsukki's hair grew longer."

"You look like a girl Tsukki."

"You're beautiful..."

"Of course she look like a girl, Tsukki has just emerged after all. Hinata you dumbass."

"I-I knew that, Bakayama."

"What did you just call me?!"

"Silence!"

Finally, the room was embraced with some peace. Then, a chuckle erupt from the, now woman, Kei. "You guys, never change huh. And we just Graduated from High School last week. Thank you, nonetheless, for coming here." Kei thanked them with tears in her eyes. Her heart finally felt light. It was quite a shocked for her. But, just by seeing how her former teammates behaves just as usual makes him felt at home.

Never in his life she thought she would emerged. Since she has been living her life for 18 years as a boy. Life is tough.

I wonder how he will react though... 

Kei wonders. It has been 2 years since they last met. It was awkward at their last meeting. She can still remember like it was just yesterday. When she innocently learned about love... 

Only to got her heart broken not long after...

Why does my heart tighten every time I saw his smirk? That's just how he behave regularly. And yet, why do I keep wanting to see more of his smile and that stupid-looking smirk of his. Gosh, this is so useless. All I want was just to practice with Fukurodani ace's spikes, along with his insights in efficient blocking.

"Megane-kun? Why do you keep glaring at your food? Is something wrong with the food?" A voice snapped Kei from his own monologue in his head. He move his gaze from his food up to the source of his discomfort. The Nekoma captain was sitting in front of him as they were eating their dinner, along with Fukurodani's ace and setter beside them.

"Hey hey hey megane-kun, what's wrong? Did your stomach hurt?" said the owl- Fukurodani's ace. Tsukishima look around their table and sure enough, all the senpai's attention are on him, with concerned. "Ah no. I just felt full cause I ate some snacks earlier. I think I'm done for dinner." Kei replied with his usual monotonous voice. Then bowed his head for a moment and push his chair back before proceeding to take his half-filled food tray away.
