trapped in my mind

Everything was dark and eerily silent. It smelled like pine, I was in a forest. As my eyes adjusted, I could see everything a little bit clearer. The bright full moon, the starless sky, endless trees. I tried to stand, but then realized I couldn't. My left leg was injured, pieces of bark stabbing into it.

There were no sounds; no crickets chirping and no birds whistling. I was alone in this dark, silent, neverending forest. The pain that should've been in my leg was everywhere. My whole body felt paralyzed, and I couldn't even feel a pulse. I tried to scream, to yell, but nothing came out.

My pleas for help got stuck in my throat. I was trapped, and alone. My eyes got blurry as tears burnt behind my eyes, threatening to escape. I sat there, helpless on the ground, crying silently. Begging for anyone, anything, to help. But no, no one came.

So, I was trapped for eternity in a dark, lonely forest, better known as my mind.

ok im trying to start this story out on a good-ish note

and please realize not all stories/poems will be the same. some may seem really sad while others could fell happy, it just depends on the way you interpret it.

also, im actually really proud of this. i remember i was sitting on my bed with my favorite pen and notebook in hand. it had been a hell of a week at school and i needed a break. so i wrote this. this is what sparked my creative writing juices, and since then ive been writing in other styles and trying new approaches.

sorry for all the sappy shit ^^^
