The Rain

Hey hey hey, nice to meet you. This first one is just one I've had in the back of my mind for a while, it will be quite short, sorry. Please give me any feedback, I am very much looking forward to improving my writing in any way possible. Enjoy~ (Listen to the song while reading if you like, it's really nice)

Taehyungs POV:

My soft footsteps fall lightly on the glistening pavement, rain falling softly around me, landing on my umbrella. The coolness of the air relieves me from all the worries of the world, the familiar scent calming me. I love the rain, it reminds me of when I was young and carefree enough to not carry around an umbrella, or problems. Just letting the rain soak my clothes and cleanse me, thinking that the rain will wash away anything bad. Or when I slept and heard the comforting sound of the rain pelting down onto my roof. 

I lower my umbrella and feel the cold rain fall on my face as I look towards the grey sky. Letting everything go, I stand there, on the pavement. I open my eyes and walk towards the crossing, waiting for the light to go green. As I wait, a figure shows up beside me, I smile at the stranger. I notice that he does not have an umbrella and he is shivering. 

"Hello."

I make my voice soft and pleasant just in case. The stranger looks up at me and I see that he is a boy around my age, maybe a bit younger. His raven hair falling in his face, causing it to stick against it. He smiles at me, politely, not too much and not too little. 

"Oh...hello." 

His voice quiet despite it just being us two, he pushes his hair back and smiles shyly. Something about this boy makes me offer my hand out to him in a friendly gesture.

"I'm Taehyung." 

He shakes my hand softly and I try and be as gentle as I can. He smiles again, this time a little wider, but no teeth.

"I...I'm J...Jungk...Kook." 

His teeth chattering as he speaks, I can see him shivering. A million things rushed through my head as I heard his voice, soft and shy.

"You look cold."

I say as I lean over and offer my umbrella, he looks a little shocked at my action but very grateful. I see his worried look and pull out another umbrella from my bag. I watch his face light up when he sees me dramatically open it, jabbing it like a sword into the air. His laughter rings out on the wet pavement, making me smile even more. We just stand there laughing with each other over my two umbrellas and my theatrics.

"Are you an actor?"

Jungkook says while still laughing. My eyes widen at that, nobody has ever thought I would be an actor before, not even my friends and especially not my family. I can't help but burst into laughter again, he just is too cute.

"What?" 

I hear a tinge of self-doubt in his soft voice and immediately turn my attention back to this stranger.

"No no no, I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing that you think I'm good enough to be an actor."

I see him visibly relax as he starts laughing again. I look up at the sky again, noticing that the rain had gotten heavier and that the light had gone green ages ago, it was back to red now.

"We missed the light."

I laughed for a while with Jungkook at this, until he looks at me again and smiles fully, showing off his bunny teeth.

"You know we have missed it several times." 

I stare at Jungkook in shock, my mouth hanging open. I then lightly hit him on the arm.

"Why didn't you tell me!"

I laugh as he smiles at me again, his smile could light up the world. I laugh even more when he starts to pout.

"I just like talking to you ok."

I don't even know how my smile could get any bigger, but it did, why am I so happy? I step a little closer and look at him seriously, thinking about a certain possibility.

"Hey, you wanna be friends?"

After exchanging phone numbers we both decided that there was much to talk about, like why I carried around two umbrellas. We walked across the road and off into the rain, to go find shelter somewhere before we both caught colds.

~~Time skip 3 years because why the hell not~~

Taehyungs POV still:

"Hey, Kookie?" 

I look at my boyfriend and press my forehead against his, relishing the warmth that radiated off of him, I could stay like this forever.

"Yes, Tae?" 

"Do you love me?"

I lean back as my favorite kind of laughter erupts from my raven haired boy.

"What is it?"

I show my boxy smile and chuckle at my boyfriend's behavior.

"Of course Tae, I've loved you ever since you gave me that umbrella."

I laugh fully now, catching his lips with mine and pulling him into my embrace.

"I love you too, my Kookie."
