The sudden silence has me on edge."What's wrong?"
"Nothings wrong, it's twins."
"Oh,.... wait what?" My breath of relief is interrupted when my brain finally process is what she said.
"She is pregnant with twins but things aren't looking good for the mother. The knife did pierce her heart and she has lost a massive amount of blood."
"Will she be alright?" I ask but she frowns.
"I'm afraid it's out of my hands now."
Jessica leaves the room and I grasp Kira's hand, holding it close to my heart. Staying by her side day and night, praying for her to wake up.
She has been unconscious for two weeks now and I miss her bright smile, her beautiful laugh. I don't know what I'll do if she never wakes up.
_______________Kira's P.O.V.____________
I'm laying in a flowering meadow, the sun shining brightly, warming my cool skin. Where am I? Everything around me is bathed in a golden glow. I look around and see two silhouettes standing in the distance. Walking slowly to them I feel tears stream down my face as I recognize the faces that greet me, around them is a halo of light.
"Mom?! Dad?!" I run into their arms, squeezing them tightly. This can't be a dream, they feel so real. "I missed you so much!" I sobbed.
"We know, darling, we know." My mother sobs with me.
"I've been so lost."
"Sweetheart, you don't need us anymore. There are people who need you now." My father's eyes crinkled as he smiled his usual, warm smile.
"But-?" I'm about to speak when my mother interjects.
"Your father is right, your mate needs you and your babies need you. It is not your time yet." She whispers and I feel a warmth spread on my hands as my parents fade away and Jason's voice fills my head.
"Please come back to me."
"Don't leave me like this."
Jason's words echo in my head as I feel my eyes flutter open, my vision blurred. My eyes fall upon the blurry face of my mate. Our eyes meet and he kisses my cheek. Then I remember my mother's words and place my hand on my stomach.
"The babies are fine." He smiles and I respond with a smile of my own.
"I know." I wrap my arms around him. "I saw my parents."
___________Two Years Later___________
I'm sitting on the porch as Jason runs around with the boys. Hunter and Bentley are getting so big before my eyes. They are my life, I wouldn't trade them for the world. I feel a kick in my side and place my hand on the spot. Soon our little girl will be running around too.
"Is lilac kicking again?" Jason walks over with the boys in his arms and sits down next to me.
"Yes, she's going to be a spunky little girl." She kicks again. " She might even be the next karate champion and be born with a black belt and trophy."
The two of us laugh as Jason leans over and kisses my stomach. "Are you going to be a karate prodigy?"
Things may has been bumpy and traumatic at first but I'm glad I met my Blood Alpha. I know the future is bright and that my parents are looking down on me and my family.
Keep a lookout for the sequel "Mated to a Bad Boy" coming soon.❤️
