Who knew that a book whose title was 'The Clash of the titans' would end up being a love story? My English teacher apparently. Also, they've got it all wrong! The gods were the good guys in Greek mythology for a start, and secondly, why, is a book that has barely anything to do with titans, called 'clash of the titans'? Seriously, I should write a complaint to Mrs Donaldson. No, to the English department of this school. It would probably say something like:
Dear Brockwood high English department,
I would like to complain that the book, 'the clash of the titans' that class 11a are reading this term, displays all the wrong ideas about classic Greek mythology. If the class carry on reading it they will lose the little sense of culture that they have. (That would be if they had a sense of culture to lose)Also, they would probably die of boredom from the icky, gooey, lovey-dovey bits.
And we wouldn't want that, would we?
Yours Sincerely,
Scarlett-May Johnson. (Actually, thinking about it, I probably shouldn't put that...)

The only reason that I'm not is because with my illegible handwriting, the school would track me down and most likely suspend me, because it's not like it hasn't happened before. I've actually done it about 3 times. So anyway, as I doze off during class for the fifth consecutive time, the clock hanging on the English room wall catches my eye. It's 11:15.
IT'S ELEVEN: FIFTEEN
I suddenly feel more awake than I have done all English lesson. (Just to clarify this, I REALLY like English, it's my favourite subject, it's just Mrs Donaldson, she is possibly the worst teacher in existence. How that woman is married, I have no idea...) I raise my hand and start flapping it as much as I can to get the teacher's attention, after about 2 minutes of this, Mrs Donaldson says in the most droning voice in history, "Yes Miss Johnson?" I then say three words that can get me out of anything,
"Excuse me Miss, but I have my dyslexia class,"
***
As I'm rushing down the corridor, it's only just occurred to me to tell you that I'm not dyslexic. So why am going to a dyslexia class, you may be asking? Well, that's because it's not a dyslexia class. That's just what we tell everyone because if they knew the truth, they'd ask. Who is we? We is the entire school's staff. Oh yeah, and me. I don't think I've introduced myself properly, so here's three things you might want to know about me before I go any further:
~ My name is Scarlett-May Johnson (Scarlett/May to my friends)
~ I am 16 years old
~ I am an Ellishen
So are half the school staff actually. Ok, so none of them are called Scarlett May and they're all between thirty and fifty years old but they are all Ellishens. The others are just human ( boring humans, if you ask me.)All the other pupils here are human too. They get to be normal American teenagers, but me? No, I'm stuck with being an abnormal, English teenager in an American school run by Ellishens solely for my protection. Who might I need protecting From you may be asking? My father, that's who.
So you are probably thinking that my father is some sort of Ellishen hunter. Well, if you are you couldn't be more wrong. Ellishens are humans with fae blood that has been passed down in generations. As each fae had a different power, each of the Ellishen bloodlines have different powers too. But all of the family's powers are related to each other. There are three living members of the Johnson Ellishen bloodline left. That is my father, my older brother Michael and myself. We are also known as the 'Elmiata' bloodline line as our powers are based around controlling and creating elements. Elmiata means elemental in ancient fae. My power is control of the Earth, Michael has water. However, the two of us share an inner light, called 'life'. 'Life' is controlled by my emotions and it has the power to heal or bring someone back from the dead. However, if we give someone too much, they will die an excruciatingly painful death and burn in the pits of hell for eternity. It's one of the many reasons that I try to control how I feel.
So back to why I need protection from my father. The school protects because, unlike my brother and I, my father doesn't have the power of an element like earth, fire, water or air. He has death. He has an army of undead soldiers awaiting his command, he can control and enslave both humans and Ellishens to be his mindless slaves and he can (and will) kill masses of people with his inner light, death and it make things worse, he's immortal. Evil doesn't even cover what he is, the majority of murderers on earth are his slaves. So in a nutshell, I need protecting from my father because he wants me to come and live with him.
