Hey guys! Thank you so much for reading my story! I’m really sorry it took a while for me to upload this, it’s just that I had this thing called the ‘Writer’s Block’ where the writer runs out of ideas. If I ever experience another Writer’s Block, mind helping me out?
Message me some of your ideas for the next chapter and I’m sure I’ll have an inspiration from one of your ideas. I’ll dedicate it to you if I pick your idea for chapter five. ;)
I’m gonna try to write stuff like this on every chapter to thank you guys and give you updates (or even previews for the next chapter ;D). And also, please Vote/Comment! It would mean so much :)
Again, thank you for reading!! Enjoy this chapter (even though it’s a bit short, sorry about that). <3
Fabian’s POV
While we were gazing at the stars, I heard Claire’s mum call us from her room. Claire immediately stood up and climbed down the ladder, “Wait for me!” I called, she stopped her tracks when she heard me and looked at me while I was climbing down the ladder.
When we arrived in the living room, I saw my mum and dad outside the window taking out some luggage out from the back of our car.
“Mr. Jones, what are my parents doing?” I asked, still looking out of the window
“They’re taking out their luggage. Don’t you know that you’re staying here for the night? Oh, and please, call me Uncle Trevor.” He winked
“What? They’re staying here?” Claire asked
“We are? How come I don’t know about this?”
“Oh you didn’t know? The reason you came here is because that we invited you to stay in our house since your house is destroyed right? So we thought, why don’t you stay here?” said Mrs. Jones, looking all happy
“Oh, um alright.” I said, making my way outside to help my parents with our luggage.
Claire’s POV
Well this is the first time someone stays in our house besides us. I know it sounds pretty weird but I never had friends over to our house. Not even a sleep over. My parents are kind and loving and all but they are extremely protective, since dad is the mayor of this town.
Every time I ask why I can’t have my friends over, they’d say that it’s too dangerous. Whenever they say that, I think to myself ‘What? It’s not like my friends are serial killers that will pretend as my friend, come to my house and kill us all’. That’s also another part of the reason why we only have four bedrooms in the house, one for my parents, one for Trudy, one for Rianne and one for me.
Wait a second, “Mum, if they’re staying here, where will they sleep? We only have four bedrooms, you know,” I asked mom, jumping in conclusions, “Oh, well that’s already arranged. Your father and I ordered a master bed in ‘Homes R Us’ and they’ll deliver it tonight. Mr. and Mrs. Howell will be staying in our room since it’s big enough to have another bed in it and for Fabian, we ordered a bed for him too,” “And which bedroom will he be staying in?” Please say Rianne’s, please say Rianne’s! I thought, “Well obviously, he’ll be staying in your room, silly.” Dang.
They finally got back in the house with their luggage. Dad pushed me towards Fabian, obviously forcing me to help him with his luggage, “Need any help?” I offered, he laughed in response and handed me a black chunky backpack (A/N: Sorry! I don’t know how to describe a backpack filled with random stuff inside so I wrote ‘chunky backpack’ instead xD).
We headed into my room and he put all of his stuff in the corner. He started unpacking. I heard the doorbell ring. That might be the beds that mum and dad ordered.
After Fabian unpacked his stuff, Mr. Howell called us down to the living room, “Now, Fabian, Claire, stay here and watch TV while your dad and I put the beds in the rooms while Auntie and your mum does some girly stuff.” He winked at us.
Fabian and I crashed down on the sofa. I took the remote and started flicking through the channels. When I saw that iCarly was on, I stayed on the channel, “Wait, you like iCarly too?” he asked with one of his eyebrows up, “Yeah, for the last three years! You too?”, “Yeah, me too.” He said, making himself comfortable on the sofa.
While the commercial was on, I thought that if he’ll stay here for a while, doesn’t he have to go to school? Will he go to my school then? I kinda hope not. I don’t want to make it too awkward for us. What if my parents do make him come to the same school as I am? What do I do?
Should I be friends with him? Should I help him fit in? Should I even talk to him and tell my friends I know him? Or should I just treat him like a normal new kid? Geez. Why am I so concern about him?
