Chapter twenty-nine

— two days later —

Your POV

I hold hands with Kei as we walk to school together. He yawns and rubs his eye with his open hand.

"You tired Kei?" I ask him. "That bus was pretty crowded and you still have to walk, do you want me to carry you?"

He thinks before nodding his head. I smile and grab his small frame. I set his body on my shoulders. He grabs a hold of my horns and I laugh. I hold onto his small legs so he won't fall. I walk past the entrance and into the school. I guess he can get in if he's right next to someone who has an ID.

We walk into the classroom.

"Woah! (L/N)! Who's the kid?" Uraraka asks.

"Oh this is... my little brother, Kei" I say. "He doesn't have anyone to take care of him so I'm taking him with me to the internship"

"Makes sense, ribbit" Tsu-Chan says.

"He's so cute!" Mina says making him blush.

The girls awe at him before I go and sit at my desk.Kei looks around, he spots the hedgehog behind me.

"Oh. It's you." Kei says.

"Listen here brat!-" Bakugou starts but is cut off from Aizawa.

"Good morning class" He mutters.

"Good morning" we say.

———— time skip ————

It's the end of the day, we are all waiting to go to our internships.

"Alright class, take your costumes with you, stay safe" Aizawa says. "Class dismissed"

I tell Kei to stay behind while I go to get my case. I stand there and look at my case. I look to my right and stare at Bakugou.

"Umm could you-"

"Fucking short ass" he says grabbing mine and handing it to me.

I thank him and walk over to Kei. I have my case in my left hand so I hold my right hand out for him to grab. We walk out of the doors and head for the train. Kamui Woods is all the way in the city so we have to ride the trains. I notice that Midoriya, Uraraka, and Iida are here too.

I run over to Iida with Kei by my side.

"Iida, can I talk to you?" I ask.

"Sure" He says.

"Iida, my man, what's wrong with you lately? You've been.. off" I ask.

"You haven't heard?" Iida asks. I shake my head. "My brother was put in the hospital from fighting a villain. It's horrendous. He can't feel his legs"

I stop breathing before I let go of Kei's hand and hug Iida.

"I-I'm so sorry" I say in his chest.

"It's alright, at least he's alive" Iida says hugging me back.

Kei comes up and hugs his leg. Iida smiles and pats his head.

"Well, my train will be here soon. Thank you for the comfort" Iida says.

Kei and I smile. "Of course Iida. Please be safe"

Iida doesn't say anything he just smiles before heading to his train. Kei grabs my hand and I lead us to our train. We hop on the next one and head for the city. It was a place pretty far so Kei fell asleep on my lap. Whatta bean! Am I right??

We make it to the city and Kei doesn't want to get up so I pick him up and carry him. We walk to Kamui Woods apartment. It was in some expensive apartment complex. We pass the security when I tell them it's an internship for Kamui.

We go up the elevator and down the hall. I knock on his door. I check my phone to make sure it's the right room. I see him open the door.

"Oh you're here. Come in" he says moving out of the way.

"Oh! Thank you! I hope you don't mind that my brother came along. I'm the only person who watches over him so he can't stay by himself very long" I say.

"That's fine. We will begin training later since you just got here. Just make yourself at home. We will get ready once there is a attack" He says. "I'll give a tour"

He shows me and Kei around the place and it's pretty modern but it's a pretty big complex.

"You can say your stuff up in here, I'm guessing you only came with your costume?" He says.

I laugh awkwardly before nodding.

"Alright. Go ask Mt. Lady for any extra clothes if you need them. She has too many to spare anyways" he says before walking out.

I set Kei down in the guest bed. I cover him up before walking out of the room. I think the front door is this way? Yeah. I walk out the front door and make sure it's unlocked. I knock on the door next to Kamui's. He said this was Mt. Lady's room.

The door opens and I look down to see Mineta in a maids outfit. I pause before breaking down laughing.

"I CANT!! LOOK AT YOU!!!! OF COURSE YOU'D CHOOSE MT LADY!!! YOU HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN HERE THAT LONG AND SHES ALREADY USING YOU!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" I laugh loudly.

He growls "what do you need? How did you even get up here??"

"I need Mt.Lady and I'm an intern for Kamui Woods, right next door" I say.

"You're right next door? That means I can sneak over and see you-" Mineta is cut off from a smack to the back of his head.

"Have you finished cleaning yet?" I hear a female voice ask.

"No ma'am" Mineta says backing up.

The door opens wider "Oh! What can I help you with hun?" She asks.

I rub my hands together "uh hi! I'm Kamui's intern,  (Y/N) (L/N)! I was wondering if you had any modern clothes to spare? My teacher didn't tell us to pack anything other than our costumes"

"Oh! Of course! Come on in!" Mt. lady says.

I walk in and it's the same as Kamui's apartment. She leads me into a bedroom and she looks through drawers. She turns to look at me. She puts her hand on her chin.

"I have the perfect clothes for you" She says throwing out a lot of clothes. "You have a very nice figure I must say"

"Oh. Well thank you" I say grabbing all of the clothes.

I walk out and Mt.Lady bids me goodbye. I walk back into Kamui's apartment and set down the clothes in the guest room. Christ, Kamui was not kidding about the clothes. I put on my costume to get ready for later when suddenly Kamui dashes in the room. He shows me a small device with an address on it.

"We got our signal! Come on hurry!!" He says dashing outside.

I look at the large windows he has. I smirk and stretch out my wings.

"I'll meet you there!"
