Chapter 1 -Basic Alchemy-

So this is based on a comic I was working on but it's taking too long so why not make it a book. Anyways in here there are two characters (so far) Yuki Tomare and Kanzaki Riku. Yuki is based on me and Kanzaki is based on my friend irl. I hope you enjoy!

Also we both have cat ears and cat tail so don't be confused by that. If you want to see what they look like check out my rp book!

4:35 am/Wednesday/May/30/3018/In a secret lab under the Tomare mansion

Yuki P.O.V.

Ugh...I'm so tired. I was typing on my holographic screened computer, typing in code for our project. I look over at Kanzaki. He's just typing away at an insane speed. I kept typing, hoping I'll get somewhere with doing this. I started to get hungry so I walk over to the kitchen. Did I say kitchen? It's more like a trash can, a mini fridge, and a microwave. That's it.

I open the mini fridge; A moldy cupcake, a half eaten taco, and some expired lunch meat. I sighed and sniffed the air with disgust. I take the half eaten taco. It smells fine...sort of. There's a stack of paper plates on the microwave. Four left. I take one and put the taco on it before putting it in the microwave. I put in thirty seconds then press the START button.

As I was waiting the air vent kicked on. A breeze went through the small fur on my ears. I really hate that. My ears twitched and I scratched the left one. I look over at Kanzaki again. "Almost done?" I ask desperately. "I'm about at the same progress of when you asked me that an hour ago.." He says with a faint smirk.

I roll my eyes and take out the taco, sitting down at the small circular metal table. I sigh and start eating. It was pretty tasteless and sort of squishy. I did microwave lettuce though so I guess that makes sense. I hate human food to death. It sickens me. I can eat it but I stay away from it, unless it's sushi. Sushi is alright but, that's about it. When I get done I put the paper plate I used on the stack of paper plates. There wasn't much on it so I figured it could be used again.

I walk over to Kanzaki, his tail swaying impatiently under his lab coat. I pull down my lab coat sleeves looking at him. "Kanzaki do you think we are going to die before we get this done?" He didn't look up at me. He just kept typing, "You can't die and I'm a demon with many millions of more years to live. I assure you it won't take a million years so relax."

I nodded and walked over to the small bunk bed. It was highly uncomfortable. I wish I could go upstairs on the fifth floor to my room and lay on my nice bed and maybe snuggle into an anime blanket. But no, I have to lay here on this uncomfortable metal and cold box with a thin blanket. Why did we start this stupid project? I doubt it will ever be finished.

I put my glasses on the floor next to me, closing my eyes. I flipped over and drifted off into sleep.

I know this first chapter is kinda short the next one will be longer so find out what happens next!!!
