The next 3 days passed by quickly. All 3 of us were on our way towards the airport. I wasn't very happy, well, because I was forced to get in this damned car. Right now, I could be studying, or eating, or something.
I had woken up this morning to go to school, but I got there and was told our music teacher wasn't going to be there. It was the 4th day of school and she had never been here. Oh, well. I made it throughout the day. I had ran into Louis twice, but only to get pulled into a closet for a make out section.
After getting home, I had been, like I had said, forced to get in this car. And the uncomfortable awkwardness didn't help. Everyone was silent, except for the voice of Rihanna on the radio.
Lauren and Karla had talked to me the day before, telling what to do incase I lose it. Lauren warned me about some type of trouble I would be in if I didn't do as they had told me. I had practiced the methods. Like count to 10, or think of happy things. Ugh, sure those methods were gonna work on me...
We pulled up to the airport. For some reason I felt calm. But sooner or later this calmness was going to vanish. My hands started to sweat. My head felt like it was going to explode. My feet wanted to walk the other direction. Once inside, we stood waiting for Veronica and her family. People passed us. Some strolling calmly by. Others rushed to get to their destination.
A lady took my attention. She wore a black pencil skirt with a baby blue blouse. Her hair was black, tied into a tight, high bun. At her feet were some black one inch heels. A man stood behind her in black slacks and a baby blue dress shirt. Behind both of them, stood 3 teens. Two girls and a boy. They dressed like the adults in front of them.
I immediately knew this was Veronica and her 'perfect' family. They walked my way. Veronica stood right in front of me. She wrapped her arms around me. She kept holding on, as if she expected me to hug her back. She pulled back disappointed.
"Good afternoon, girls. I guess I'll introduce you." She pointed to the boy. "This is Daniel. He's my 2nd oldest child." He waved at us, I just stood. She pointed to one of the girls. "Now this is Jane. Jane is the oldest." Jane rolled her eyes. She seemed mad, I would be too if I were to go to a place I didn't wanna go to, no wait, I was mad for the same reason!
The last one looked about my age. "This is Claire. She's my baby." Claire smiled at us, and giggled. She put her hand out. "Hello." She seemed the friendliest. I actually smiled at her, having a feeling I would get a long with her.
"And this is Tom." I felt disgusted. This was the man my mo... Veronica had left us for. He seemed perfect. He looked like the normal business man. He had dark brown hair, gelled back. He had small little wrinkles that appeared as he smiled. He reached out to shake my hand but I refused to.
"Well, um, I guess we should get home. Um, where will you be staying?" Lauren asked. Veronica smiled. "We'll be staying in a hotel right next to your home." I sighed. Jane sighed.
"Um, I guess you're tried, Veronica?" Karla asked. "Um, not really well at least I'm not." She gave a fake smile. I couldn't take this anymore. I looked around. We started to walk to the exit. We stood outside waiting for a taxi. I turned away from them and looked up. "Dear lord, if you love me, please make these people go away..."
Karla elbowed me. I rolled my eyes. Two taxis appeared in front of us. I hurried into the first one. Karla and Lauren got in after me. The ride was extremely quiet. I knew I would be in trouble once I would get home...

Once in the apartment, Lauren immediately started to talk. "What did I tell you Diana? You could of at least said hello to her. But NOOOO, Mrs. Diana has to fricken stubborn! She's your mother, for gods sake!" I rolled my eyes. "So?"
