I find it ironic that people use the phrase " welcome to the land of the living" when someone wakes up or regains consciousness. With each second that passes you get closer to death. It's a known fact. however, death isn't celebrated, unlike the end of a race or a retirement were it seems like a competition to see who will get there first. No death is dreaded.

i blinked several times to regain my focus only to find Olivia yelling at me to go and find Ernie and tell him that their is a code blue in room seven. so I do the only logical thing and take off in the direction of the nurses station. I yell at Ernie that their is a code blue in room seven and he takes off running with me trailing not to far behind him. When we get back to the room Olivia has already ripped the patients shirt open and has started to prep the chest for the AED. Ernie immediately jumped into action and helped Olivia by getting the rectangle pads positioned on the patients chest. They continued through all the steps that the AED instructed them to do and minutes later the patient was conscious with a strong heart rhythm and good vitals. The only thing that Olivia had to say was " welcome back to the land of the living Chad"
