Snow falls around me as my chestnut hair begin to turn white with crystals of frozen water, I can feel the ground crunching lightly beneath me feet. The new songs of sweet birds fill my ears, their cheeps and chirps sounding new and different to my mind. However I can not place why

I can hear the shrill of children from across the trees and bushes, but can not find my balance to walk towards them. I somehow feel weaker than I remember, but to my mind it makes no sense as I can't remember anything.

I slip on an icy patch of pavement as I finally find my feet and fall onto the frosted, damp ground that clings to my thin summer clothes. I begin to shiver a the cold starts to get to my skin, my teeth begin to chatter too as I regain my unsteady balance and start towards a small bench.

Once sat down I lift my knees up towards my chest and curl up into a ball in the hope of warming up my small frame in some way. As I look across the field I see a group of boys playing in the snow. One was throwing a ball of it at another and I think about why they would want to do that. It is freezing.

Watching their cold battle I realise that one of them is staring at me. I instinctively hide my face, avoiding his gaze but something makes me bring my head back up to study him.

His hair, a light, burning auburn falls down and just touches his shoulders in a long but masculine way whilst his dark green, emerald eyes glow in the cold, spreading a welcomed warmth through my body.

He walks towards me, his stride purposeful and confident, and I try to hide my face once more but something stops me from braking my our stare.

"Hey. What are you doing out here dressed like that?!"

"What?..." My voice is weak from its lack of use, it feels like I haven't used it in weeks.

"I said, why are you out here dressed like that?! You're Freezing!" Reaching out to touch my arm he sends shivers down my spine. "I'm Aiden?" What's your name?" I suddenly freeze. Of all the things that I can remember, my name isn't one of them.

I don't want to make Aiden think I am insane so I quickly make up a name that sounds normal. "My name... My name's Alys."

"Cool, name!" He replies. I can see that his friends have joined the huddle around the bench where I have sat. "This is Ben," Aiden points to a tall, well built boy with dark chocolate brown hair and dark hazelnut eyes who nods at me awkwardly. "This is Jamie..." He then points at a short, thin boy with limp honey blonde air who in return shuffles a little and mumbles under his breath.

"And this is Hayden." The last of the boys is the tallest, he is thin but musculey and had incredible ash black hair with dazzleing, mystical grey eyes. He is the only one to reply to Aiden's introduction,

"Hey! what's your name." I am too speechless by his perfectly smooth voice to return the invitation of speech and just stare into his eyes as Aiden speaks in my place.

"Her name's Alys. She looks freezing. Your house is nearest isn't it? Do you think we should tke her back to your's to warm her up?"

A smile spreads across Hayden's face as he nods and hand me his arm, "Here." I grasp his strong, muscular arm and we begin to walk across the now completely white field.

I sit on Hayden's leather sofa, warmed by the roaring fire across the rug, the blanket that has been wrapped around me and the mug of hot chocolate that I grip in my freezing hands. Aiden sat on my left side whilst Hayden sat on my right.

I could see Ben and Jamies uncomfortable faces as the sat on the sofa to the right of the one that we were sat on and listened intently to Aiden and Hayden's questionings.

"So where do you live?" is Aiden's first question. I really don't know how to reply. I don't remember a thing!

"Ummm. I don't remember..." I can't think of anything to say but the truth.

"You don't know?" Hayden replied in shock.

"Well, what's your surname?" Aiden tried to prompt me into locating my family,

"I don't know..." I wimpered.

"Okay. Then... Where have you been living?" It may seem like the simplist question to them but to me, well it's giving me a headache just trying to remember.

"I don't remember! I don't remember anything! I can't!" My voice raises slighty as my anger takes the better of me.

"Hey it's okay!" Hayden's hand lightly strokes my knee, his voice is soft, smooth and calming, I feel like I should stop him but it feels so right.

"Yeah! You've got us now." Aiden's arms reaches around my back and gently tugs on my shoulder as my head falls onto his. I can see both Aiden and Hayden look at each other as I am caressed with warmth.
