Chapter Four:
What?!?
I had been walking threw the lush, green forest that was untouched by civilization. Running my hand along the thick, beautiful trunks of the trees. Feeling the smooth or roughness of the bark.
I moved along, seeing there isn’t much light illuminating the area. I could see small animals running around, most seemed to be used to the darkness of the forest. Soon i came across a warehouse. There were vines growing up the sides of the building, making it kind of unnoticeable.
"Huh, so there is something about the myth that is true" is said laughing and approaching the green colored building.
As i got closer, i could see some windows were broken. Even though the building was old, it looked beautiful with its rust and the way the bines grew and weaved together.
I was about to open the door to the building to get a better look inside, but as soon as i moved the door open a little bit i was tackled but something.
I rolled a foot or two with the being who tackled me. Then the stranger jumped up and away from me. I slowly stood up, and looked over at the other being there.
When my eyes feel on the being, i noticed it was a boy. He didn’t look very old, and looked as though he had been living here for quiet some time but the length of his hair and the way he reacted gave the illusion of it as well.
I was looking over him, noticing his cloths didn’t look old or ripped. They were in fashion actually. My eyes then widened as i noticed he had orange ears on his head, and then i noticed the swaying tail that was behind him.
I couldn’t’t believe it, the creature in the myth was real. As i continued to stare, i slowly started to stumble backwards wanting to run, but then I started to notice he wasn’t fighting or trying to kill me. He actually wasn’t doing anything, but staring.
Getting a better look, I noticed that the look in the boys eyes was more fear then anger or that bloodlust look some many creatures were said to have. I stopped moving backwards and instead moved towards the boy.
The boy flinched moving backwards a little but then stood his ground and growled at me. I didn’t show that I was afraid of him and I just moved towards him more.
When he noticed I wasn’t backing down, I could see his ear lower and he started to back up again. I kept moving forwards and soon the boy was against the warehouse wall as he stared at me. I continued towards him, seeing him cringe and cower.
‘This boy isn’t a monster, where would such a myth come from.’ I thought as I moved over to him. He was now on the ground curled into a tight ball. I then squat down and slowly, and hesitantly lay my hand on the shoulder of the boy. I would feel him flinch, and was a stiff as a statue.
“Hey?” I said softly as I tried to get him to calm down. “I’m not going to hurt you.”
I watched at the boy looked over at me, and I stared into those eyes. At how close I was I could tell they were blue, but it was such a light of a blue that it looked white.
I kept staring into his eyes, until I blinked a few times focusing on him fully again. I noticed he was looking back at me, slightly worried and still full of fear. I smiled softly at him, trying to sooth him and show that he wasn’t a bad person. He then lowered down more to get at the level of the boy.
“I’m Kurt” he said, semi slow and as though he was talking to an idiot. The boy just looked at him before growling.
“I’m not stupid, I understand English like any other human.” he almost growled out.
I looked at him shocked, not really thinking he could talk let alone understands and talk to me back.
“Oh” I said softly, mentally hitting myself really hard.
The boy stared me down, his ears now laying flat against his thick and beautiful black hair.
“Do you have a name?” I asked him, trying to get more friendly with the boy. I noticed now that he noticed I wasn’t a threat and that I wasn’t going to do anything, that he was more tough and seemed to grow his back bone.
“Noah” he said, slowly standing back up. I followed standing up and fixing my cloths. As I looked back to where he was standing, he was gone.
I looked around, yelling his name trying to get him to come back out, but he never came. So I went to school, and after that I spent my time at my home in my room and staying away from my parents. But something bothered me. Everywhere i went, i saw this man stareing at me the first time i saw him was right before i had gone into the forest, where i found Noah.
