Yay, I updated! Isn't this exciting or what. Sorry, for everyone who has been waiting a while for this but I just had a lot of things going in my head. But I got back to this story now.
Let's get to it, shall we:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the afternoon of Pellory's finding, Veronica called the local police station of Tolliopis and told them about Pellory. The police looked around and did everything they could to find Pellory's parents but ended up with no information on where she came from.
When the news was delivered to the Ardeems, they thought about adopting her so on the next day they went to a lawyer and did all the law requirements for their task.
A week had passed and Pellory was happily living with the married couple who gave her everything she needed as a baby. The surprise was, Pellory being only a week old, she looked like she was six months old instead. Veronica and Lewis were terribly worried about her health and her unmaintainable growth spurts.
Pellory's growth speed wasn't the only abnormal character within her. There was another peculiar act that caught her parents' attention. For example, one day, she was unusually hungry and kept drinking an insurmountable amount of milk. When all the formula was finished, she kept crying and wailing with all her energy, tearing her mother apart.
"I'm so sorry, sweetie, your dad is doing his best to come back with your formula as fast as he can," Veronica was at the merge of crying but before a tear filled either of her eyes, she saw Pellory suddenly calm down, staring at the empty milk bottle on the table in front of her. Veronica followed her gaze to the milk bottle and got taken aback when she found it full.
"I could have sworn, this bottle was empty a minute ago," she said as she held the bottle in her right hand. She wanted to find out more about the unexplained incident but dropped the subject, finding feeding Pellory was more important at the moment.
That wasn't the only time something strange happened with Pellory. About a month later, Pellory looked about four and her parents decided to throw her an early birthday party. Exuberant wasn't a strong enough word to describe how little Pellory felt. No one of course was invited to the party, for doubts would arise suspicion in the minds of anyone who would see a month year old looking four. It didn't matter to Pellory though because she had never met people and to her, her parents were enough to fill her life.
"Come on, Pellory, aren't you gonna blow your candles?" Just after Lewis spoke out the question, Pellory came running from the house into the backyard, where the decorations and cake was set up. She jumped on the chair and was about to blow off her candles when Veronica interrupted her.
"Wait! You have to make a wish first, honey!" she exclaimed. Pellory closed her eyes and made her wish before she blew out her candles. Her parents cheered and clapped for her, but fear and concern were over-flowing Veronica's mind and showed clearly in her eyes. She was afraid and scared of the rapid growth of her daughter.
"Now it's time for you to open up your presents!" Lewis again said. Pellory cheered and went to open all her gifts. After she was done thanking and hugging her parents. Veronica noticed that there was another present left in the pile with no name on it.
"Oh, Pellory you seemed to forget a present," she told her.
"Where?" Paize asked as she ran to the place where her mom stood. She then saw the box with the three holes in it at the side. She leaned down and opened the box.
