On the Horizon. (wings of fire based)

PROLOGUE: Horizon

      In the kingdom of the sea, the most unusual event was happening. A hybrid dragonet was being hatched in the kingdom one of its parents came from. You see, it is unusual because if the mother or father will hatch a hybrid then they would be banished for treason. But, Queen Coral can't get rid of her only daughter old enough to become a queen. So,Anemone of the seawings shall stay that way. Queen Coral may have things to love but when she heard her own daughter, Anemone was soon to be a mother of a hybrid, she was upset and most of her subjects thought she had lost all sight of love.

"Cr-CRACK" walls fell away, ears pricked and tiny talons reached out for someone to help.Anemone was the first to react by trying to break the shell around her child,but before she could, Queen Coral flared one wing to block Anemone.

"The young dragonet is a hybrid," she flashed in aquatic. "Let them get out of the shell." Anemone growled softly but soon nodded sighing little bubbles around her snout, like the smallest jetstreams your mind could ever imagine.When the dragonet soon realized no one was going to help them, the hatchling pushed in all directions.When this didn't work she took in a deep breath and exhaled a blue stream of fire,not a deep blue but a periwinkle type of blue and that was why it was so attention grabbing.All jaws dropped as the shell literally exploded on Queen Coral snout,although she didn't seem to notice because she was too shocked.Once again Anemone was the first to react,holding her dragonet in the ocean when she realized,she wasn't sure if the dragonet had gills!When this thought hit her brain,she shot out of the royal hatchery faster than a speeding dolphin. Everyone followed immediately, as Anemone shot out of the ocean with Coral not much far behind her.

"Is it okay?"Coral said as soon as her brain switched from gills to the lungs she sometimes forgets exist."Is my grand dragonet okay?"Anemone looked at her with a stare that seemed surprised about how much she actually cared about a dragonet."She has gills!"Anemone shouted so happily it startled a scrawny seagull into bombastic squawks which made the dragonet in Anemone's claws giggle as it jumped out of her mother's trembling claws just to fall into Anemone's wing as she cradled them poking her petite nose.

"It's a girl!"Anemone cried."The royal family of the seawings lives on!"Coral seemed to shuffle her feet uncomfortably,and Anemone noticed this quiet but noticeable movement."What's wrong mother?"Anemone asked sadly."Don't you want to love her?"Coral opened then closed her mouth which wasn't very reassuring to Anemone as she pulled her dragonet closer to her chest as if she needed protection. "The Queen might be trying to say that if we had a hybrid as a queen the subjects might think that the tribe is getting weak and that some may try to hurt your dragonet."one of the queen's advisers said from behind the queen.Coral looked at him with extreme surprise. "Yes that is actually exactly what I was going to say!"after she said that the adviser looked surprised as well.Anemone looked from her mother's startled,deep blue eyes to her young dragonet who looked up at her with big eyes,loving her naturally because this dragonet didn't need to know that Anemone was her mother because she knew no matter what.

"If we would weaken the tribe,we won't live here." Anemone said sternly,trying to hide emotion and was somehow succeeding.Coral looked up from her feet.

"You can't mean that Anemone!"Anemone looked Coral in the eye as if to say -if I say it,I mean it.

"Who will challenge me for the throne?"Coral asked.

"Auklet will,when she's old enough.Now if you would so kindly excuse me I have to pack my very few things.Anemone started to fly away when suddenly,

"What's her name?"Coral asked flying up behind her."Her name is Horizon."Coral wrinkled her snout at this."Horizon?What type of name is that?"Anemone glared at her then exhaled slowly as if she was breathing out all her anger."It's the name of a half skywing hybrid."Coral roared at the word Skywing,which scared Horizon into digging at Anemone's claws."YOU FELL IN LOVE WITH ONE OF THOSE FIRE BREATHING IDIOTS!?"

"Yes mother now get over it and let me leave your kingdom of confinement."Coral thrusted her wings and grabbed Anemone's wrist which made her drop Horizon but she caught her with her tail.

"Let me go!"Anemone cried thrashing about the sky then taking an easy way and just bit her mother's talon."ROAR"Coral fell out of the sky as scarlet blood squirted out of her wrist then making a painful slap on the water when she hit the water.With this chance,Anemone thought,"Forget me stupid belongings,I'll leave them there to let mother think of what she has lost." Looking down at her shivering dragonet, tears rushed to her eyes and came down like waterfalls."Don't worry Horizon I won't let your grandma hurt you because you'll never see her again.You're going to meet daddy!You will have the best life I could give you and we'll be happy because I love you."
