johnny kept thinking about the caption he made— "there's always hope." he actually didn't really know what it was about, but it just came to his head. sometimes you don't know if you still like someone, and he thought he moved on from her but maybe he didn't. maybe he still liked her.

it was lunch and johnny was heading to the cafeteria with his tray containing the school's horrible pizza. as he was eating alone, mark got into another seat with his usual enthusiasm, saying, "hey bro!". johnny replied with his signature smile that kenzie used to call cute, and continued eating.

suddenly came kenzie and brandon. "mind if we sit here?"

mark looked at johnny expecting that he'd make the decision.

"y-yeah. sure." johnny answered awkwardly— like the usual.

"okay! thanks. i needed to talk to you guys about something anyways," she said and smiled.

mark nodded strangely and continued eating, so did johnny. brandon and kenzie stared at them, expecting them to listen.

"aren't you gonna hear her out?" brandon chuckled. mark and johnny exchanged looks and stopped eating.

"so we thought we'd try to figure out who's been killing all these people since there's already 9 people who's been killed. after all, not much is figured out since most cops in town are now dead and no one's really doing anything about it." brandon stated.

"but, there's a pattern of locations." kenzie continued. "they kill 3 people per neighborhood. like the first incident, it was joey, charles, and 1 cop. although, it can be reversed too, 2 cops and students in our school. like the other 8 neighborhoods. our neighborhood is next, but 2 cops are already down, meaning that it could be anyone from here is next."

"i have an idea! i can throw a party, and we can try and see who's the killer. after all, i do throw good parties. don't i?" mark said in confidence and smirked. johnny nodded in agreement.

"a bit too late for that." brandon said, looking at miss ruby rose turner handing out flyers.

"my place at 6:00! although until 8:00, the girl's got bedtime."

"come to my place at 6:00! free food! i know you love free food, max!"

"my place at 6:00. it'll be the best party ever!"

mark made an enraged expression as brandon and kenzie laughed hysterically as johnny pat his back. ruby gave them flyers and smiled. "be at my place. 6 o'clock. stay no longer than 8:00."

"oh, we'll be there!" mark said angrily.
