Chapter 17: Panic

"NO!" Imp screeched jumping out of his sleep panting. May quickly woke up turning her head to see Imp very shaken "Imp?! What happened to you!" May yowled. Imp panted trying to calm down as sweat drops ran down his fur. "I-Im..fine May...just a dream..that's all.." Imp meowed his voice shakey. "Imp! Talk to me for once your not alright! You look like you just stared death right in the face!" May yowled pulling on his shoulder slightly. Imp shuddered at the word "Death" his body trembled scared. "F-Fine..I'll tell you..just don't overreact.." Imp sighed. May nodded slowly placing one of her paws on Imp's paw. She felt him shaking and his claws were slightly unsheathed. "M-May..I-I had a dream..that..I was...drowning.." Imp spat it out shaking still. May's eyes wide need before she sat up and rested her neck on top of Imp's neck. "Imp..that wasn't a dream.." May meowed nervously. Imp stared at his paws for a second before glancing at May. "I-It..was an Nightmare.." May meowed shaken. Imp stared at May for a while before snapping back to the present "M-My death..t-that forest! T-Thats were..that's were I-...I-I!" Imp yowled stood up knocking May off himself. "Imp! Calm down your need to try and relax!" May screamed at him before using her front paws and tried to pull Imp to her body level but he was too strong for her. "W-Why! God why! I didn't ask to die! I never fucking asked for this!" Imp yowled again pulling farther away from May. "Imp!" May screamed at him before he finally came to his senses and sat down breathing hard. May sat next to him wrapping her tail around his back trying to calm him down "That's it..breath deep breaths" May meowed in a calm voice. Imp shuddered as his ears lowered and he started to calm himself down listening to May. Imp slumped down leaning on May leaving her in shock. "What's h-happening to me..why am I remembering the one thing I want to forget..." Imp cried as tears started to run down his muzzle. "I-I don't know Imp..but we'll find out why..we have too.." May sighed. Imp stopped crying and flicked his tail onto May. May glanced at Imp seeing he was frightened. She rested her head on his neck placing her paw on his. "Why did I-I freak out like that.." Imp huffed with a shake in his voice. "Panic attack.." May meowed softly. "It..happens when your body can't take in information you revived properly..Panic Attacks can happen in many ways like now.." She added. Imp glanced at her before placing his head on the ground holding May's paw firmly. Finally when Imp was calmed enough he told May about his dream and what happened. Then why both talked until sunrise.
