'Oh whatever.' I thought. I threw a raggedy towel around myself and ran into my room, almost bumping into my stepdad.
"Oh hey there, kiddo." He said cheerily.
I grunted in acknowledgment and brushed past him to get to my room. I rummaged through my drawers and found my last year's bikini. Not my finest outfit that's for sure, but it'll have to do. I grab my cell phone and flip flops and head out the door. "Mom I'm leaving!" I yell over my shoulder. She's out the door in a flash with my brother Ian on her heels. "Oh honey, have a good first day! Be safe! Manners!" She says. I grin, "Alright."
"Don't kill anyone." My supportive brother says. I stick my tongue out at him childishly and step into my little charcoal Prius.
On the way to the pool, I suddenly realize I have absolutely nothing to cover up with, I only am going to show up in my bikini. I hit the steering wheel in frustration, making the lady next to me give me a annoyed look. I ignore her and drive the rest of the way, hoping they'll give me a lifeguard shirt or something.
