Chapter 2
{Indiana Riley}
Ever since the first day I moved to San Francisco, I've always been out. The city is so big with many things I want to try or do. Staying at home is no option for me.
I walk around the Golden Gate Park in the mornings. Plenty of joggers, bikers, and groups are always around. I had to drive here, unfortunately, because my loft is too far to walk here.
I sit down at a bench and rest my head back. I pull out my phone and search yelp for places to go.
I've only been in this city for two to three years. I moved here because of my parents divorce. Now, I live with only my mom.
I haven't seen my dad in the years we've been living here, but there is a pretty darn good reason why.
"Indiana!"
I look up to see who called my name. I see a girl my age with dirty blonde hair, wearing a floral blouse and light washed shorts.
"Hey Natasha," I greet.
I get up and give her a friendly hug. Natasha lives in the same building as me. She is the first friend I made since being here.
"I knew I'd find you here!" she exclaimed proudly.
"Wait, why?" I ask.
"You always come he-"
"No, I meant why were you trying to find me?" I laugh cutting her off.
"Oh! I just thought since it's a nice day, we can go hang out?" she says.
I look up to the sky and noticed that it was a nice day, no fog in sight which is strange for the bay.
"Sure, where do you want to go?" I ask.
I was getting a little hungry, so I hoped that maybe Natasha was too.
"Just follow me!" she shouts walking off quickly.
I stumble at first trying to catch up with her, but then I walk by her side.
"Where are we going?" I ask hoping for an answer relating to food.
"I'll tell you when we get there!" she says mischievously.
I follow her to the street as she tries to hail a cab.
"You do know that I drove here, right?" I laugh.
"Great! Why didn't you say so?" She scolded.
I lead to the direction of where I parked.
As soon as I unlocked the car, Natasha dove for the passenger seat. Someone is in a rush. She's probably really hungry.
I sit behind the wheel and start the car.
"Where exactly are we going?" I ask. Hmm maybe McDonald's. Yeah yeah it's unhealthy and fake, but you gotta admit you would still eat there.
"I can't tell you," she shakes her head.
"How am I supposed to know where to go?" I laugh.
"Ugh, fine! Drive to the airport." she orders.
I'm a little disappointed that she didn't want to go eat. Actually, I'm disappointed very much. I start towards the airport. Then, my mind clicked.
"The AIRPORT?"
"Yes, the airport."
"Wha- why the airport? Are you running away? Are you leaving?" I ask panicking.
