"Mom" Henry said softly from her bedroom door. It was late and he had just had a dream. Emma opened her eyes looking towards the door at him.
"Everything okay kid?" She asked sitting up on her elbows.
"Could I sleep with you?" He asked, he didn't care if he was being childish, he just wanted to know someone loved him.
"Yeah come here" Emma said throwing back her covers. Henry crawled in as Emma brought the covers back up, he snuggled against her tears streaming down his face.
"I had a dream about dad" He said looking up at her.
"Was it a good dream or a bad dream?" She asked brushing back his hair.
"Just a dream, but when I woke up I wanted to see him but I remembered he wasn't here." Henry said sniffing. "Mom what if I forget him?" He asked.
"Do you know what Ohana means?" Emma asked he shook his head no. "It means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. Your always going to have memories of him even if you didn't have a lot of time together. And I'll tell you what we will do, any time that we miss him or are worried we don't remember what he was like we'll remind each other. With stories and pictures or by eating jelly doughnuts and riding around in the bug listening to Charley's girl. I have a lot of things that remind me of him and bring back memories and I'm more than happy to share them with the one thing that came from us being together." Emma said Henry smiled laying his head on her chest.
"I love you mom" He said softly Emma smiled resting her chin on the top of his head.
"I love you too Henry" She said closing her eyes letting her own tears fall. Henry moved his head reaching up to her swan necklace holding it between his fingers. "I loved your dad too" Emma said Henry smiled closing his eyes. Emma stayed awake watching him as he slept thinking of his father the whole time.
