Chapter 13: Charity x Insult

Ang bilis ng update ko no? Parang kasing bilis lang ng pag iwan niya sakin. 😪

The entire night, hindi ako nakatulog ng maayos. I just spent the night talking to my daughter over the phone. Then I spent the rest of the night thinking about him.

It bothered me why he kept on pushing himself to me? I meant, he left me, bakit gusto niyang subukan namin ulit?

It was weird how he's still interested if he thought that I was seeing someone? Was it just because of his pride na akala niya ay hindi ko siya kayang palitan?

It was bugging me a lot.

I didn't understand him. Ang gusto ko lang ay matapos na itong training niya so my mind would be at peace again.

I had a strong coffee to keep me awake for the whole day due to lack of sleep, but my headache was bad.

I wouldn't think that I would have a sleepless night again. Hindi kasi maganda sa pakiramdam. Meron pa naman akong charity event today.

"Maam, ready na po ang kotse niyo."

"Thanks, manang," I told the maid and faced Ines. "Let's go."

Tumayo naman siya at kinuha ang mga gamit niya na dadalhin. Kasama kasi siya sa event kaya dito ko narin siya sa bahay pinagbreakfast kasama ko. We're both wearing a semi formal dress.

"Masakit po ba ang ulo niyo?" She asked while we're already inside the car. She seated next to me in the back seat.

Tinanggal ko ang kamay ko sa pag masahe sa ulo. "It is, but I'm fine. I can't missed this event. It's very important to mom."

"Ilang taon narin itong pinatayo ni ninang para sa mga batang walang pamilya. Sayang hindi siya makadalo this year."

"Yeah. She really wants to come because this is very important to her, but she said that she has to be with dad. He's more important."

I admired how my parents loved each other. Kinwento ni dad sakin dati na hindi daw naging madali na paibigin si mommy. They fought a lot bago gumanda ang pagsasama nila. They were forced to be married to each other kaya siguro ganun. But dad said, it was all worth it kasi they learned how to love each other because of the trials they had been through.

"Ang sweet nga po ni ninang at ninong."

"Yeah, they are," I said dreamingly.

"Makakahanap din po kayo ng para sainyo na kagaya ng daddy niyo."

I looked at Ines who was smiling at me like she was sure of what she said. Pero I doubted it and hindi narin ako umaasa. I was already happy having my Rosetta.

I just smiled at her and faced away to look through the car's window.

We arrived at the event just in time for the event to start. People greeted me especially the sponsors and the staff of mom's charity.

Ate Genie was here too. Afterall, she was in charge of the foundation. She gave her speech in the beginning of the program. She acknowledged the sponsors' presence and presence of the important people behind the foundation.

I was surprised that Aaron's dad was here and later on, Aaron arrived too.

What were they doing here?

"Mom invited them. She thought that this will help him on his training," Ate Genie said. She probably noticed that I was curiously looking at those two men.
