*** Emma P.O.V ***
“Lance?”
Right in front of me was standing Lance. My childhood best friend. I remembered the time when we were young; we used to hang out all the time. Our parents were business partners so I and Lance would always be at each other houses whenever they had business trips. He was like the brother I never had. But then I was sent to this college, and only got to see him during summer holidays, where we would be hang out with one another. Only now seeing him I realized how much I have really missed him.
“Omg, I can’t believe it’s you. How long has it been? “ I quickly stood up and hugged him. He was surprised by my sudden reaction.
“Emma, is that you?”I heard him saying sounding surprised.
“Yeah it’s me. I cant believe it’s actually you. I’ve missed you so much.”
“Me too.” he said hugging me back “So I guess you a student here, huh?”
“Yeah, I guess you are to. By the way, where were you going?” I asked him unable to hide my smile. Hey, I was happy to see my friend.
“Yep I am a student here; I never thought we would end up in the same school. And to answer your question I was trying to find the cafeteria, but no luck.”
“Well guess today is you lucky day. I was on my way there so come on with me. Gosh I cannot believe we are in the same school.”
We walked together the hall, and I could notice the girls staring at us. I have to admit. Lance turned out fine. He was rather tall, blonde fairy hair, a tan and well built body and the same chocolate eyes he had when he was young. I couldn’t help but smile. Then I realized I was checking him out (not that kind of way). He noticed me and smirked.
“You’re checking me out?” he asked me raising his eyebrow.
“No,” I could feel my cheeks heating up, “I..I was just looking at you. You have changed a lot; you’re quite different from what I remembered you. But I guess people change.”
“Is that a good thing or a bad thing?” he asked raising his eyebrow.
“Definitely a good thing. Come on; hurry up coz I’m starving.” I said grabbing his hand and running through the hallways. I could hear him chuckle behind me. But I didn’t mind it. It had been so easy for me to get along with him, and I see that things haven’t changed at all between us. We were like two small kids again, running through and unable to stop laughing.
We took our food and sat in an empty table.
“So tell me Emmi, what have you been doing? Any boyfriend?” he asked me.
I almost choke, as I was taken by surprise by his question. He started laughing, and I slightly blushed.
“Nope. No boyfriend. Boys, well me and boys is a wrong combination. What about you, are you single?”
I tried to change the conversation, coz this whole boyfriend thing conversation was weird.
“Yeah, for now, but I won’t be for too long. Seeing how many beautiful girls are here, being single is not an option.” Lance said raising his hand in the air saying “C’est La Vie”
“You’re a total player, aren’t you?”
“Don’t worry Emmi , you will always be my nr. One girl.”
“Eww Lance gross, you know you are like a brother to me!” I said giving him an angelic smile.
“Wow man that sucks. I’m brotherzoned by my hot best friend.” Lance said smirking.
