⁃ A group of friends graduate high school and pool their savings together (all very wealthy) and buy a plot of land to build a house to live in together, each adding onto the house in cool, different ways in their own style.
-Suggestion- they all each have their own issues (mental illness, daddy/mommy issues, health problems, etc.) and work together to help each other out
Character 1- Major daddy problems, Mom took baby siblings and left, she/he/they supports the house and food and is the protective friend. Not really any health issues but maybe work something around PTSD? The character is pretty humble and the protective mom friend because of her backstory. Her/his/their mom picked up and left when her dad started to become abusive. She/he/they wanted to take them, but money only allowed her/his/their baby sibling and her/his/their other younger sibling. Character told her/his/their mom she/he/they would meet her/his/their when she had enough money, but after a year or so of taking care of her/his/their abusive and drunk Dad, she/he/they had lost all contact with her mom. She/he/they work to support the household and food. She/he/they have slight PTSD from the abuse of her Dad and her/his/their dad's friends but you wouldn't normally see it from her/him/their. She/he/they is really well spoken but hates school.
Character 2- Suffers from some autoimmune disease- but works with it and advocates it and other illnesses. She/he/they are a successful medical practitioner (surgeon?) and is very calm. Grew up with mom, father died (nontragic- just happened), and has no siblings. She/he/they and mom have a good relationship she/he/their is sweet and nice and social, classy, and knows what she/he/they want. Dresses up any time she/he/they can, but also can rock sweats and a messy hair. long red hair and elegant clothing.
Character 3- She/he/they have severe anti-social disorder as well as kleptomania. She/he/they have been to jail for theft, but the only reason she/he/they still is a thief is because of parental abandonment. She/he/they had to steal to feed her/his/themselves. She/he/their developed kleptomania, or in other words, an overwhelming desire to steal, even though it isn't necessary. She/he/they have antisocial disorder, which means she doesn't really understand or respect other people.
(Now you might be thinking, "omg I totally have that!" Imma stop you there. You don't. It's not the same as being antisocial. antisocial personality disorder: a disorder characterized by long streaks of disregard or violation of basic human rights. Moral integrities are very low and the person with it typically is aggressive and typically a criminal.)
She/He/They can be aggressive, but she/he/they do have soft spots for her/his/their friends. she's/he's/they're a hot head, but she/he/they are friendliest with a dog she/he/they've found on the street, a German Shepherd she/he/they've nursed to health and named Nova.
Her/his/their parents are in prison, so she's/he's/they've been on her/his/their own since high school ended.
Character 4- Character is pretty quiet. Her/his/their father left her/him/their with her/his/their mother when she/he/they were born. Her/his/their mother became an abusive alcoholic and she/he/they have the scars to prove it. After years of constant abuse and being told that she/he/they were nothing, she/he/they developed crippling depression and anxiety. She/he/they have very few friends, but the few she/he/they do have are very close.
Character 5: Daughter/son/child of a wealthy family due to dealing with gangs and drugs, but she/he/they believe it to be because of her/his/their father's car dealership and her/his/their mothers private jet rental. She/he/they learn whatever she/he/they can from both her/his/their parents and their businesses, but wants to go a different route instead of going into either family business and go to Hollywood to be a screenwriter. The family doesn't accept this and has cut her/him/them off from the family money. But she/he/they have made herself/himself/themselves worth it by owning several popular theaters (not Broadway, but popular) and lives for her/his/their work. However, her/his/their parents died and didn't change their will so she/he/they not only gained their money, but she/he/they also gained their debt to the gangs and drug lords her/his/their parents owed.
