I sat, staring at the wall for the past hour, wondering where the hell Tris had disappeared to. I called him non-stop, worried sick. I loaned him my car, thinking he was just running to the store to pick up some wine for the both of us, but his supposedly quick trip has lasted for three hours now.
I called each of the boys as well, and they all said that they hadn't seen him. I was so afraid that if I decided to call the cops, and they went looking for him, they would find him somewhere on the side of the road or something. I had begun to pace back and forth by now, and I was losing my mind because another 40 minutes passed and I still had no idea where he was.
I was about to call the cops when I saw headlights pulling into the driveway. I ran outside and didn't even bother to close the door behind me. Tristan stumbled out of the car, shutting the door behind him and rubbing his eyes before looking up to see me storming towards him. "Where the hell have you been Tris? I've been worried sick about you!" I yelled, running to him and wrapping my arms around his long torso. He towered over me, I only reached his chest level.
"I was, um, just getting our wine and I ran into Kirstie and she was picking up drinks because the other lads were hanging out, and she invited me over. And, um, yeah, so I hung out with them for a bit," he said, scratching his head.
"I was calling you non-stop, why didn't you answer any of my calls?" I pulled away and looked up at him.
"Sorry, my phone died," he said, shrugging his shoulders.
It didn't seem to add up to me. I called all of the lads and they had no clue where he was. They wouldn't have lied to me. "Tris, I called the rest of the lads, they said they didn't know where you were."
He laughed, "They just wanted time for us to hang out, they lied. I told them not to, but they wouldn't listen. Sorry baby, I didn't think you would be that worried," he said, pulling me into his arms and kissing the top of my head.
I nuzzled my nose into his chest, and smelled his shirt. He smelled different, though. Like perfume. Perfume that I had never smelt before. Perfume that I definitely did not own.
"You bastard!" I yelled at him, shoving him off of me. "You were seeing another girl!" I yelled.
"What? That's crazy!" he said, laughing at me.
I could feel myself getting choked up. "Tristan, the boys would never lie to me. You were gone for a suspiciously long time when you were supposed to just be picking something up and coming back to me. And your shirt smells like perfume, but it's perfume that definitely does not belong to me." I said, becoming insanely worried that I was being cheated on.
"You sound insane, are you drunk?" he laughed again.
All he could do was awkwardly laugh. "Uh, no because you were on alcohol duty..." I said, knowing that he was avoiding the topic. "You were seeing some other bitch on the side, weren't you?!" I yelled at him.
He scratched the back of his head, "I wasn't-"
"Tell me I'm wrong," I said, in a scary calm sort of way.
And just from the look on his face, I knew he had fucked everything up between us.
Idk what this was, I just thought one-shots would be more interesting than preferences for once? Let me know what you thought, and if you have any ideas for other one-shots, like one-liners like this one which determines what happens in the one shot, let me know!
