Darkest Prophecy

Chapter 6:A new life

As Katyusha was floating into the river, she only sees darkness on her path, she stood on the street near an infant covered with cloth just as she saw on her dream, she got curious and went closer to inspect it but As she peeked from the cloth, she found out that it was empty, she was shocked and confused on what was going on she turned back to run but she saw her village with her parents standing in-front of a house with their smile but as she was about to run closer, the whole village suddenly scorched into flames with her parents covered in blood, her mother was carrying her own head and her father with holes on his body, this very sight made Katyusha tremble in fear with her tears falling on her eyes.

As Katyusha curls up in fear, a familiar voice told her "do not give in to your fears, you must stay strong Master!" as soon as she heard these words, a light flashes so bright that made her close her eyes while covering it as it slowly fades, "Hello, Master Katyusha" a familiar voice greets her as she removes her hand that was covering her eyes, she was shocked on what she saw "K-Klara?" Katyusha said as she noticed that she was in a room, Katyusha then faces her as she was about to say something but Klara covered her mouth as she said "There isn't much time, I must tell you something." Katyusha nodded as Klara removes her hand from covering Katyusha's mouth and said "Your memories will be erased after you regain consciousness, it will be like a dream but when the time is right, it will all return to you." with this said Katyusha began to feel drowsy as Klara said "Take care, Master Katyusha." as Katyusha closed her eyes shut Klara pats her head for the last time.

Katyusha's body was left floating on the river side of an unknown territory, there were people who passed by and ignored her until there was someone who noticed her body and started to inspect if she was alive or not, the unknown person then concluded that she was indeed alive and took her to the house to treat her wounds.

Katyusha was carried by an unknown person in  an unknown land, she slowly regained her consciousness but she can't seem to remember anything, she tried remembering on things but it would only hurt her head and would fail to recall on her identity nor her memories, she sat up from a clothed bed which was made out of wood, she saw two person beside her one of them was offering her a bowl of stew "Dear child, are you hungry?" the person asked, Katyusha nodded her head as she was about to reach for the bowl and the spoon.

After Katyusha consumed her food one of the person said "well if you need me again, you know where to find me." the person then leaves as the man that remained asked about her name, but Katyusha didn't remember anything even her name, she looked down with tears on her eyes but the man patted her head and said "don't force yourself if you cant remember." Katyusha wondered on why her memories are all so foggy and unclear but she stopped as the door was slammed open by a drunk woman and it appears that the man must've had a relation with the woman for he went to her and scolded her for drinking too much, the woman was drunk probably because of their problems, or their or even something more but as the two fought, Katyusha stared at them with a blank expression. As she finished her meal, she was hit at the head by a wooden plate, her head started to bleed as she cried in pain.

The two stopped fighting as they looked at the crying Katyusha, the man stared as the woman just stared at her with a glare, the man took a bowl of water as he placed a cloth and cleansed her wound with it, "I almost forgot to introduce myself." the man said as he looked at Katyusha. "My name is Mather, and the woman over there is Samantha." he continued as he placed the cloth on the bowl of water. Katyusha smiled as Mathew asked "how about you?" Katyusha was about to say something but it seemed that she can't remember anything at all so she looked down. Mathew placed his hand on her forehead "I almost forgot I asked your name already, I'm very sorry...I almost forgot you can't remember anything." he tried to cheer her up but Katyusha was still confused on why she can't remember her name.

Samantha suddenly complained about their current social status and why he bought a child to their house even though they don't have enough money to raise one, Mathew went to Samantha to calm her down but it seems that he can't but he still tried to stop her. Samantha ended up sleeping on the floor and Mathew carried her to the bed where Katyusha is, Katyusha decided to move but it seemed that her whole body suddenly felt a piercing pain which made her flinch. As she stopped moving, Mathew placed Samantha on her bed as Katyusha decided to rest.

Mathew has a brown hair with green emerald eyes, he has a trimmed mustache while his body was lightly hairy, he looks like a lumberjack but he works on as a baker, while Samantha has a Gingerly hair with a brown eyes, she has a white skin but also a little skinny, she has no job, although they were poor Samantha would waste Mathew's savings just to go to the tavern and get herself drunk and complain the problems of her life, they lived on the kingdom of Romalia under the border of Silverden and Avardia which made the kingdom having a border between the two of it, having the two influences causes a conflict within the empire, riots and crimes were a common activities on the Silverden's side while Avardians would want to accept Silverden commoners but the silverden authorities would kill whoever crosses the borders. lucky for Katyusha they lived on the Avardian side of the kingdom, but Mathew and Samantha aren't born from that place, rather their homeland was at Deus Varen which was at the Silverden's territory which was far away from current their place, they migrated on Romalia because their family didn't agree on their marriage and this made them decide to elope and their actions made them go to where they currently are.
