Roman had gone missing.

It was after an argument that one of his roommates, Virgil, and him had. His two other roommates, Logan and Patton, had witnessed the argument.

Although the two friends bicker from time to time, this time it went too far.

No one can remember what the argument was about, but all they can remember is that Logan and Patton had sided with Virgil and it left an angry Roman storming out of the apartment.

The three didn't care. He always comes back.

But what they didn't expect is to him to not come back at all.

About three weeks later, Roman still hasn't come back. They were about to contact the police until they saw something on the news.

"Excuse me, but I think you guys should see this." Logan said, leading the other two from the kitchen into the living room, where a news report has been on.

Apparently, there had been a car crash that had no survivors. The interesting, and saddening part, was that one of the cars look almost exactly like Roman's.

"So he's been on the road this entire time, yet he hasn't contacted us at all? I just can't believe it. I just can't......" Virgil said, before storming off to the direction of the hall where his and Roman's rooms were.

"Virgil, wait!" Patton said, starting to go after him, but got stopped by Logan.

"Look, I know you want to help, but.....you know what, let's have a discussion in my room." Logan said, and led Patton into his own room.

What the three didn't know, was that wasn't Roman who was in the car crash. Speaking of Roman, he was on his way up to the apartment.

When Roman softly opened the door to the apartment, he saw that no one was there. He assumed no one was there so he walked in and slowly closed the door. He slowly walked in, not before hearing another person's voice.

Roman's Perspective

Someone's here. Slowly, I headed towards the sound of the voice, who I soon identified as Virgil, and it lead towards......my room? 'Why would Virgil be in my room?' I thought. I hid in the hallway, soon taking a peek inside the room.

"I can't believe it.....I just can't.....he can't be......" Virgil sadly let out before wiping his eye and straightening up and collecting himself.

"Pull yourself together, Virgil......you don't need to mourn over this guy....he was a jerk to you anyways.....you know he never liked you anyways......" Virgil said to himself. What was going on? And am I really that mean to him?

"Why should I play this game of pretend?
Remembering through a second hand sorrow.
Such a great son and wonderful friend.
Oh, don't the tears just pour."

Virgil sighed, hanging his head in shame and said, "I should have never started arguing with him in the first place. Then his car would have never crashed. And....,.and he would still be here....." My car crashing?
What is he......OH! He thinks I died in the car crash I heard about! Maybe the others think that as well.....nah, Logan's too smart to think that.
Or is he?
