   Hailey's P.O.V

        “W-w-w-w-w-what? How is it possible? I can smeIl him! He isn't like me!" I said. Jacob sighed and replied,”Hailey. It is true and possible. His inner vampire hasn’t been awakened. That’s why he doesn’t smell like one. But I fear his time to be awakened is coming. And war is brewing.Once he is awakened,they will go after him and his blood. Both of you will be in danger. That’s why I’m here,Hailey.”

               

          Awakened? Who and how made him dormant in the first place? “Jacob, do you know who and how made Alex dormant?””No. I am trying to figure it out. However, I have gotten some good information about something like this. Long ago, there was a same situation. There was one male and one female pureblood. Both were being hunted down. But one was in dormant state while the other was aware of what was going on. It was again, the male in dormant state. The female found him. Once the male was awaken, both had to go on a run. They mated and had a child which was a normal vampire. However, the genes of a pureblood always skip a generation and only one sibling would receive the genes.”

 

         “So what you’re saying is that Alex and I are related?”I asked. “Not necessarily.Many had mated with different clans of vampires. I am certain you and Alex are not related.”Jacob replied. For some reason, that relieved me. “However, even if you are related, you two would still have to mate.” And that sentence made me blush.

          We needed to continue the bloodline,that I could understand. But why should we when, our children, grandchildren and so on, would suffer being hunted down? Being chased for their blood? It wasn’t worth it.

 

          “Jacob,we can’t. If we did, our children would suffer being hunted down. I can’t allow something like that.””I know,Hailey. I know,” Jacob said tiredly. “Jacob, I need you to look after Alex. I can’t do that all the time. I need to protect myself as well.””Okay, Hailey.For you.”

Meanwhile…..

          “He is about to be awaken.We should prepare for war and for the long hunt. Their blood is precious. We can’t afford to even lose a drop of it. Their blood can grant us the power to go out in sunlight. Everything we ever wanted,” Shane said.

           “Patience,Shane.He needs to awaken first,” Dylan chuckled. In his mind, he also couldn’t wait to get his hands on their blood. The blood that would allow them to take over the humans who looked at them as nothing but legends and myths.

And it made him mad. Really mad.

Alexander's P.O.V

I walked into school and into French class,spotted Hailey and was about to walk towards her when suddenly,my head started to throb. I was having a real bad headache. And suddenly, my heart felt like it was being stabbed. I saw Hailey walking towards me worriedly and I felt like I was gonna fall.

And then, everything went black.
