Bestfriends to lovers

Chapter 1

Cheryl's p.o.v

Ring. Ring. Ring .

I reach my hand out as I turn off my alarm clock. I slowly get out of bed and search for my phone . As soon as I found it I used it to text my bestfriend.

To: Toni💓
Goodmorning! Are you ready for our first day of junior year???

I hit send and I walked to my bathroom so I could brush my teeth . After I finished I went back to my bedroom to see that I had 1 unread message.

From: Toni💓
Ughh don't remind me . I'm on my way to get you soo hurryyy.

I let out a chuckle as I applied my red lipstick and curled my hair . I heard a honk and I immediately knew it was toni . I checked to see if my mom was home ,but she wasn't so I grabbed my keys and ran outside. I walked to toni's car with a big smile on my face .

"Hey there topaz" I said with a smirk .

"Hey bombshell, ready for the worst year of your life?" I lightly giggled and I rolled my eyes.

"Stop being so dramatic" she looked at me with a smile on her face as she started the car .

As we were driving to school I looked out the window and watched as we passed everyone on the sidewalk. We finally pulled into the parking lot as toni took the key out of the ignition.

Me and toni split up as soon as we entered the school. She went to go talk to sweetpea, jughead, and fangs while I walked towards betty, archie, and kevin. Me and sweet pea don't like each other because he tried to steal toni away from me in freshman year ,but it didn't work.

I finally approached the group with a smile on my face.

"Hey guys how was your summer ?" I said excitedly. Betty was the first person to respond which wasn't a surprise.

"My summer was great. Me and jughead hung out and got to know each other better. " I had totally forgotten that jughead and betty were dating.. Oops.

Next to speak was my guy bestfriend kevin keller .

" My summer was tragic. Do you know how hard it is to find a cute guy around here?" I laughed at kevin's serious expression.

I saw toni walking in my direction ,so I waved bye to everyone and started to walk towards her.

"So how was everyone?" Toni asked with a curious expression. I smiled at her attempt .

"They are all doing good. Apparently they all had a good summer except kevin." Toni laughed as soon as the last word slipped out of my mouth.

"Well fangs was telling me about a party he's throwing tonight to welcome everyone back. Do you wanna go?"

I thought about it for a second because I knew sweetpea would be there ,but toni looked like she really wanted to go.

"Yes I would love to go with you T.T" I said as I smiled at her.

"YES, let me go tell sweetpea." I nodded my head and waved. She ran down the hallway towards sweetpea.

Toni's P.O.V

I ran down the hallway until I stood right infront of sweetpea.

"I just wanted to tell you that Me and cheryl are going to your party. "

He looked at me curiously.

"Why do you want to go so badly?"

I looked at him as I shrugged my shoulders.

"I don't know. What If I just wanted to party with you?"

He looked at me with an "I'm not stupid" look. I sighed as I looked at the floor.

"Maybe I have a crush on my bestfriend and I want to find someone at your party to move on from her. "

He looked at me with a sad smile and grabbed my shoulder .

"How do you know that she doesn't like you too?"

I looked up at sweetpea with a serious expression.

"Because 1. She doesn't like girls and 2. She would never like someone like me "

I began to grow sad after realizing that me and cheryl would never be together . I decided that I was going to tell her I can't go to the party and go alone. Maybe this is exactly what I need .
