Chapter 10-Salamander

It was Friday, and Natsu, Levy, and Erza just finished up their school work for the day and all headed home; meanwhile, Natsu stayed behind so he could pick up his little sister Wendy, and as for Lucy, she left school early. Natsu and Wendy made their way home, and to their surprise, there was a red sports car parked in their driveway. "Hey, Natsu, whose car is that? It looks familiar." Wendy asked. "That's..." Natsu noticed whose car that was as he ran into the house yelling "Mom!" The voice echoed the room "Oh Natsu, please keep your voice down. Can you see we have guests?" said Grandeeney. Natsu saw the orange-haired man sitting at the table with his mom and Wendy sipping tea. "Leo," Natsu called. "It's nice to see you again," Leo replied. "Come on, Natsu, come to join us for tea," Wendy said. "Wendy, when did you get over there?" Natsu asked "Well, the whole time you were shocked and staring at Leo," she replied. The pink haired person gasped. "Oh sorry, Leo, I didn't realize I was staring," he said as he sat down at the table. "No sweat; that isn't the first time someone stared at me like that. Anyway, you're probably wondering why I'm here." Leo stated. Natsu wasn't sure why, but he got the feeling that it had something to do with Lucy. "So you the boy that my sister was talking about?" Leo said as he got up from his chair. "Yeah... what did she tell you?" Natsu stuttered while Leo eyeballed him.

"Not much. It is just that I can never picture you as the Student Council President for Fairy Tail High School," Leo stated as he looked at the pink haired boy from head to toe. "What are you doing?" Natsu questioned him. "Mmm, this could work," Leo replied. "To what?" another question came from the teen. Leo smiled and said, "You want to know something, Natsu? Lucy has had her eye on you ever since she enrolled in your school." These words made Natsu blush. Leo noticed it. "Also that she wishes for you to be her partner," he stated. "Partner?" Natsu questioned as Leo just smiled. "Excuse me, Mrs. Dragneel, can I borrow your son for a while?" said the orange haired man to the woman. "Oh, okay, sure. You two have fun," she said with a giggle, giving Natsu and Wendy a confused look. Without a word, Leo grabbed Natsu, pushed him into his car, and took off. Wendy stared are her mother with confusion. "Mother, why did you...?" Before finishing the sentence, Grandeeney placed her finger on her daughter's lips saying, "Let me explain, dear." Leo was driving on the highway with Natsu in the passenger seat. "This is kidnapping, you know!" Natsu yelled. "It's not kidnapping; I got permission from your mom to take you with me, didn't I?" Leo replied as Natsu smirked. "Where are we going anyway?" Natsu asked. "You'll know when we get there," Leo answered, making Natsu suspicious. Twenty minutes later they arrived at the destination. Natsu looked out the window and saw a giant building. "Welcome to Shooting Star Production," Leo said as he and Natsu got out of the car. "Shooting Star? Wait, isn't this where Lucy does her modeling and stuff?" Natsu asked while he pointed at the building. Leo smiled and invited him in. "Oh, Mr. Leo," said the woman at the front desk. "Mini, I told you just to call me Leo," he replied. "Sorry, it's my first day working at the front desk and Capricorn told me to call everyone I meet Mr. and Mrs.," Mini said as Leo sighed. "I'll talk with that guy later. Natsu, come with me," he said as he led him to the elevator and pushed the button to the top floor.

The pink-haired teenager was becoming more suspicious and wanted to ask questions until the door opened, revealing people taking pictures of girls in swimsuits. "Why are we here?" Natsu asked questions non-stop but got no reply. The two boys just kept walking until they got to a private room, and inside revealed Lucy in a two-piece bikini on her knees with her arms behind her back. "Alright, beautiful, give me a sexy look," said the photographer. "Perfect! Well done, Miss Lucy." The photographer blew her a kiss while she covered herself. "Beautiful as always but something is missing," he stated as a finger on his cheek, thinking, "A partner... Jason." Leo came in dragging Natsu with him. "What she needs is a partner," the orange-hair guy repeated. "Of course, Lucy has been doing a solo for the past two years," Jason replied as Natsu spoke up. "Wait, she's been modeling since she was only 15," Leo corrected him, "16. Don't forget she is a year older than you."Natsu was shocked as Jason spoke. "But there is one problem, Leo. Lucy refused to partner up with any of the male models, and her third year of being solo is coming up." The photographer cried his eyes out. "What's the big deal?" Natsu asked. "Well, solo models only limit the amount of time and money to shoot as part of their contact. If they don't have a photo shot with a partner of the opposite gender, fans will start to get bored and will stop buying our sales. It happened before," Leo explained. "Oh, I see ... But, wait, that doesn't explain why I'm here," Natsu stated when Lucy came up to him with nothing but a bathrobe. "Well, you see, as Jason and Leo just said, I need a male model partner for our business, and ..." Lucy noticed that the pink hair had disappeared. "Natsu!" She called his name when she felt a finger on her shoulder. "Miss Lucy, I believe your friend walked towards the elevator." Jason pointed the way Natsu went. "Hey, wait a minute," Lucy shouted at him. "Where are you going?" She asked. "I don't do modeling," Natsu shouted back. "Come on, and it's not that bad!" Lucy yelled across the room. "Yeah, easy for you to say; you've got the body of a model with those curls and giant bosom that all men want to dig their heads into on a beautiful girl like you." Lucy blushed at that comment. "Come on, Natsu," Leo came up behind him. "It will be fun." The orange-haired man was walking the pink hair bot towards him without him noticing. "Fun? How is this fun?" Natsu asked as they kept walking. "Think of it as a play, but instead of acting, you are posing," Leo said. "I don't do plays," Natsu replied. That gave Leo another thought. "Then, it is like a habit you don't have to do that often, and you get paid," Leo stated. Natsu replied, "I already have a job. I don't need another one." The boy was giving the man a hard time and running out of options. "Then think of it as volunteer work," Lucy said as she took the conversion into her own hands. "Volunteer?" Natsu questioned. "Yes, I've always seen how you like to help people at your 'work,' so I wanted to see if you could help me," Lucy said with a wink. "I don't know Luce; modeling is not my thing. I could help in other ways," Natsu replied as Lucy shook her head saying no. "You want me to keep your 'type of work' a secret, right?" she stated as Natsu gasped. "Are you blackmailing me?" he asked. "Maybe," the girl replied as the boy sighed and said, "Oh, alright." Lucy smiled.
