I had barely made it through the door and there was a cup of coffee in my hand a kiss on my forehead. I closed my eyes for a second shocked and opened them to see May smiling. She took my bag out of my hand and planted a kiss on my mouth. She left me grinning like a fool as she walked away. Her long dark hair fell to the bottom of her back and swayed with her hips at each step she took. It made me want to drool. I looked down at the cup in my in hand. "This better have liquor in it!" I called after her.

She turned around and grinned, "Well of course, my love." It was just then that I realized I hadn't moved and I was still standing in the doorway. I huffed and she laughed, she knew what she had done to me. I kicked off my heels and shut the door behind me. I smiled at the smell of dinner cooking. Then I basically floated into the kitchen and sat on the counter in my spot. I sipped on my coffee cocktail, which required a little a moan with my eyes closed after the first sip. It was amazing, she made it so perfectly. My mini drink-gasm earned me one of those beautiful smiles that made her eyes sparkle.

I watched her dance around the kitchen as she cooked. She was so beautiful and sexy. She took my cup and refilled it. I looked at her suspiciously, "Are you trying to get me drunk?"

She smiled as she put my drink down and picked me up. I wrapped my legs around her the way that she loved. She laughed as I tangled my hands in her hair, "Baby, we both know it takes way more than two cups to get you drunk." With that she kissed me and twirled me around. I laughed and squealed until she finally put me down. Pulling me into her arms we slowed danced around the kitchen. We didn't have have music but we didn't need it. We matched each other step for step. Never breaking eyes contact. Both of us hearing a different tune but beautifully harmonized by our love. We could feel it; in our hearts, in our body's, in the air, in our souls.

May looked away first as she usually did. I never asked her why she did. I smiled up at her and stood on my tiptoes to kiss her. She smiled into the kiss and pushed me back down. I mentally rolled my eyes but she loved my shortness and that's all that mattered.

I pulled back and picked up my cup but before I could take a sip she took it from me. "There's still about 30 minutes on dinner, go take a shower." I pouted and she laughed, "It's been two days Mrs. I don't believe in perfume or deodorant."

I glared at her, "Well excuse me, Mrs. I don't believe in drying my hair."

"Those are two different things, Loves."

"They are not, they both involve bathing." I said defiantly.

She just shook her head, "Go. Now. Then you can have the rest of your drink." I mumbled on my way to the bathroom. I might get the last word, I usually do, but she always won someway or another.

I sighed as the hot water hit my shoulders. My tense muscles relaxing. It had been a long day at work, a stubborn man with a multi-personality disorder and a frustrated bipolar woman. I closed my eyes for a second.

Flashback

I started at my phone waiting for the reply, when the "I'm here" came through I smiled and did a happy dance. I ran outside to meet her, my breath caught in my throat like it always did the second my eyes laid eyes on her. The street light shined on her dark skin and her dreads fell below her shoulders. She was so beautiful. She playfully glared at me. "What took you so long?" she asked.

I couldn't help but laugh, "Baby, you know I don't get signal. You should have just knocked on the door." I knew she wouldn't do that.

"Well, come on it's cold out here." She said. I crept quietly back into the house making sure the coast was clear. I opened the door back and waved at her to come in and then ran to hold the dog to keep him from acting stupid. She walked straight into the room and I let go of the dog and looked around again. Everyone was in bed, that was good. I crept into the room into the black girls arms.

"I missed you." I muttered as I pressed my lips against hers. I loved the way they felt. I loved being in her arms. The way her body felt against mine made my knees go week.

"I missed you." She replied pulling back to look at me. I took her by the hand and pulled her into the bathroom.

I glanced over at her, "Um, you might want to do the water."

"Just don't cook me." I laughed and turned the water on trying to get it in the middle. The bathroom was cold. It was cold outside. October in South Carolina seemed confused about if it wanted to be cold or hot. It kept constantly changing. When I turned around to face her she was watching me. "Are you going to strip for me?"

I blushed, " I want you to do it for me."

She huffed and rolled her eyes," Oh god, she wants me to do it for her." I smiled. "So needy." She said as she closed the space between us. She pulled off my shirt and kissed me as I started to pull off hers. Her hands slid into the waist of my jeans and I gasped a little. She smirked and pulled them the rest of the way down. I stuck my tongue out at her and jumped in the shower making her undress the rest of the way by herself. She came in after me complaining about it being cold. After she felt the water she shook her head and put me under it. I guessed it was too hot for her.

"Are you gonna wash me?" I asked, "You said you would."

"Yes, babe." I handed her the soap I used and she began to wash me. Her hands roamed my body as the water rinsed off the soapy mixture. I blushed more, embarrassed to be naked in front of her even though I had been before. She looked at me like I was precious. Even as she bit her lip and her eyes told me she wanted to devour me. She kissed me and I kissed her back with the same amount of need and craving. I could feel my stomach tense with the anticipation. She pushed me against the shower wall and lifted my leg up to her waist. She watched me as she pushed her fingers into me. Oh gosh.

When we stepped out of the shower I left her in the bathroom to get dressed and went into my room to find clothes. I looked at my phone. 10 messages from May and 2 missed calls. I put my hand on my face and just put my phone down. I'll just tell her I fell asleep. I walked back into the bathroom and looked at the beautiful woman. "What?" I just shook my head and smiled at her and wrapped my arms around her.

"I love you, Kaliah." I sealed it with a kiss. She kissed me back.

"I love you, Alex."  My heart fluttered in my chest as I rested my head on her shoulder.

I watched my tears hit the bottom of the tub into the water going down the drain. The water had turned cold. I shook my head and cut off the water. No matter what I did, she was still in my mind. I took a shaky breath and got out the shower. Putting on clothes I walked into the room to join my fiancee for dinner. The past tugging on my heart.
