She Called Him Cute

part 1

Caleb was in the library. He loved books.  But today he was not here for books. He was staring at Sandra Lee. She was a junior like him . She was in his art class.  He noticed her three months ago.

He didn't know why but he was crazy about her. But he was afraid to start  a conversation  with her.

It's been almost three months. He still remembers the day when  Sandra had first spoken to him. It was not something easy to forget. He still couldn't forget when she came to him and told him  how cute he was. Since that day he couldn't forget those baby blue eyes.

He was a nerd. No girl ever approached him before. Sandra was the first one to say that he was cute.
But he wondered why she said that. He thought if she did it because  of some kind of bet. But he remembered the genuineness  in her eyes. Since that day he started liking her. But why didn't she talk to him after that day. Was she ashamed?

Caleb checked the time. He's free period was almost over. He didn't have enough time he thought. But today he wanted to talk to her. He gathered his courage and started walking towards her table. When he reached her table he became nervous. He nervously tapped her shoulder . She immediately looked at him. He was lost in those blue orbs. But he came to reality after she started waving at him.
He nervously asked how she was. She replied that she was fine. He didn't know what else to talk about.
He was standing stiffly. 
Suddenly Sandra spoke up. She asked  if he wanted something . He didn't know what to say. Suddenly he asked her why she'd called him cute. Then he realized his mistake. He wanted to slap himself . But then she started laughing. He became more nervous.

She said that it happened because of  a bet her brother made.

Caleb was shocked. After hearing this he was mad at himself. He didn't want to make a fool of himself. So he decided to leave. But then she said he actually was cute. This made him stop. He saw her smiling at him . A genuine  smile. Then the bell rang.  Though he was running late he didn't want this moment to end.
Sandra suggested they should walk together . He thought  it's his lucky day. So they started walking. They were talking about books. He was delighted . But he felt sad when they reached his locker. It's time to say bye  but he didn't want to.
But then the most uneventful  thing happened. She asked if he wanted to go to the cafe with her. He was astonished. He didn't know what to say. He thought if she was joking. But when  he was her eager face he realized she wasn't joking. He agreed quickly. She became happy.Then they said goodbyes and left for their classes. But they both were excited.
