Once upon a time, there was a beautiful plant blooming so beautiful inside a garden. She was that of a rose. She bloomed beautiful for everyday that passed, and grew more and more radiant with each passing season. But she knew she was alone. She has thy thorns to keep animals away. She knew the pain of not moving and feeling others embrace. She was ever so lonely.

All of the plants in the garden wanted to be near her, wanted to touch her beautiful radiance; but as plants as they are, they cannot move from where they are planted. They could only grow tall and sturdy, but never away from where they were born.

But one fateful day, a seed of a grass was carried by the wind and fell a meter apart from where the rose plant blooms. It was like destiny.

Days come and go, nights fade and leave, as the seedling of the grass finally crept out of its shell and into the world. He was but a tiny plant setting out for a journey but he does not know too well of what awaits his destiny.

One fateful day as the sun rised in the east, the eyes of the tiny grass was struck dumbfounded by the beautiful radiance of the rose. It was like for the first time when he saw the rose, it was fate. He loved. He longed for thy rose embrace.

But plants cannot move they say. Other plants told the grass of the inevitable truth that as they grow, they cannot move from where they were planted. The grass cannot accept this. He cannot accept his fate so he began to crawl and challenged destiny.

Day by day he longed to touch the rose. Night by night he longed to be beside her. Seasons changed but his love remained, and for each passing moment, he crawled. He kept crawling even if animals stepped on him, he crawled. He was determined to proove thy love.

Layers of rock and solid earth kept them apart. Heavy rain and scorching heat kept the grass more desperate. Thunders, lightnings clashed and roared mightly but he was not dazed. He crawled his roots little by little until; finally, their roots' ends touched one another.

The rose plant was happy for she was not alone anymore. She knows the struggles of grass and she was thankful for him. She was finally happy.

The rose wanted to love the grass back but she cannot do so, for she cannot move. She longed to touch the grass' leaves and sway with them as the wind pass by but she cannot leave. She never wanted to feel alone anymore, and the grass, knowing how the rose felt, grew more and more.

Days turned into nights. Rain to summer into fall. The grass kept his love burning with more passion and grew bigger, more and more, until finally, the grass embraced thy love. The rose cried though even though she has thorns, the grass still loved her, holds her softly, swayed with the wind and touched her gently. Days pass, their love for one another grew more. All plants were envy of their love. Even the sun and moon admired how deep their love is for one another. It was blissful.

But all did not end happily for as the grass grew strong and thick, the rose was covered from the sun and was suffocated by the grass and died a meaningless death. For of that of which she loved, grew more of what he cannot.

The end.
