We drove through a thin road where the place was dimmed with rain clouds and you could see the woods and trees clearly. The trees made a shelter over our head as it began to rain. Some rain droplets seeped through and landed on the car window as they fell. I watched the droplets splash peacefully down and listened to the slight tapping it made.

I didn't know how long I had been watching this go on for because the car had been dead silent. I snapped out of watching the drops when I felt the car come to a slow stop. I looked up and I saw a huge School building next to the car park we were at. Everyone was moving around busily and allt of shouting from people could be heard because of the rain. Girls were bursting out their umbrellas in a hurry to keep their hair dry and the boys strolled around carefree.

"We are here" Katie said almost sounding disappointed

"Is it fun here?" I asked

"Nope" she replied popping the p.

Katie was clearly not in the mood to talk to me. She has always acted like this under stress. She quckily opened her car door and opened an umbrella for both of us. Stepped outside of my door and the rain was still pouring before I could get to Katie's side my hair was soaked.

Katie and me walked side by side inside and she nodded at a few people who I guess were hunters. I held my head up high trying to act confident in front of everyone.

"So who do you think is ok for me to hang out with?" I whispered

"Listen carefully . You can't trust anyone at this school even our
cousins."

"don't sit with any of the wolves they hate us as much as we do them and some people in the hunting community want us dead".  She harshly whispered.

I stared at her with a confused and scared  expression from the mention of the word dead.

"Don't you already have your group of friends?"

"Listen just stick with me" ok." I nodded my head slowly and glanced at her from the corner of my eye only to see she wasn't joking.

Katie walked with me to the head teachers office and we collected my timetable. Katie then left me alone in the busy halls with no one to talk to. People pushed past me snickering and gossiping. The Americans at this school weren't very friendly. I tried not to look back at the people giving me strange looks. All the hunters recognised me and nodded their heads. Some wolves flashed their eyes recognising that I'm the hunter princess and instinctively I reached back into my bag for my gun but not pulling it out. They then shook their heads and laughed as if it was a game. How had they already heard the news of my arrival?

I found mrs Johnson's classroom after the bell rang and entered the door shyly. I looked around the classroom at the bored faces. Again the wolves in the class making it clear who they were, but it was a distinct bright blue eyes that caught my attention. I turned my head to see the boy in the woods or "E" as he calls himself.
He again stole the breath from my lungs. He probably could run for one of the best looking people in America or something. His looks were jamming my thoughts I couldn't think straight.

He continued to stare deeply with a curious expression on his face. We locked eyes for a few seconds before I turned to the teacher.

"Hello. Um I think this is where im meant to be , in new here"

"Oh hello dear. Please introduce yourself" she said.

I hesitated a bit knowing "E" was in the room he hadn't told me his name and I didn't want him to know mine but I couldn't not introduce myself to the class. I cleared my throat and began to fiddle with my fingers.

"I'm Kayla Adams and I'm from England. I have lived there for most of my life but recently my family decided to move" I said

"Hey Kayla why did they decide to move".     " and isn't there anything.....you know interesting about you." I heard a voice call out and then laughing from some girls dressed in designer and heavy makeup.

I looked to the back and the boy that was with Katie had called it out. He had narrowed his eyes and was flashing his orange and yellow wolf eyes at me. He then showed his fangs . At first I thought he was showing off but I soon realised it's because he knows my parents are the leaders of our hunter clan. He figured out I was the princess. He did those acts to show pride and strength and he was trying to embarrass me in front of the class.

I needed to act fast my parents taught me never to show weakness to a wolf. I removed my bag from my back , unzipped it slightly and flashed the side of the gun with my initials on it. He made a low growling noise then backed down .It baffled me that the teacher hadn't seen any of this going on. How could some people be so oblivious to the war you on.

"Well they decided to move because they thought I was best."  " and no to your other question I'm your regular black girl." I said squinting my eyes back.

Thank you Kayla. You can take the seat behind mr White I looked around the classroom to see one empty seat. And just my luck it was behind "E" or mr white as the teacher had called him.

I made my way to the seat and I felt a pair of blue eyes watching me intensely . I ignored it and say my down in my seat the teacher began teaching and had turned around. I pulled out my pocket mirror just to check on how I looked. What I saw wasn't a pretty sight. The rain didn't go well with my chocolate skin it looked like I had just run all the way here and my curly hair was even curlier due to it being wet.

There was wet patches on my jeans and my white top had become slightly see through to say the least I looked terrible. I quickly zipped up the hoodie I had on to cover myself up and I threw my hair up into a curly messy bun. Even with all this I still didn't look half decent and to top it all off I was sitting next to a lot of  good looking hunter boys and of course "E".

During the lesson people didn't really concentrate but they didn't look at me either. I continued to do my work until a scrunched up paper ball hit me on the arm. I looked up to see who it had come from but no one was looking back. It read  ' really your an Adams. I never expected you to be the pretty princess everyone was talking about !' 'wait for me in the corridors outside'
Signed E. He finally realised I'm not just any other regular hunter and I was relieved that he might leave me alone.

After I had finished reading it another one hit my arm again. I unrolled it and glared at the words  "and don't let anyone see you I don't want people to think I know people like you". "you look hot by the way."  How dare he intentionally mock me on my first day. He was obviously being sarcastic as I know I looked worse than a sewer rat. I don't know why but his comment had hurt my feelings I began to feel really self conscious which wasn't like me at all. I scrunched up the papers in anger and threw them at the back of his head. He didn't turn around he just carried on talking to this really pretty brunette with blue eyes. He didn't turn around once the whole lesson the notes were the only thing I got from him. I  know our kind don't like each other but if he claims I'm his "mate" he could at least be a decent person.

He must have hit his head if he thinks I was ever going to speak to him.  Before I knew it there was 5 minuets left till change over I began to formulate a plan on him I would attempt to sprint to my next lesson so he couldn't speak to me. If he wanted to be petty I would be to.

Thanks for reading ❤️

What do you think "E" has to say to her? Will she wait and talk to him.
